Dear Reader, Welcome to Young’s Typographic Collective’s first publication - ‘Memory’. YTC was formed earlier this year in memory of our friend Joe Young (JoeHayes), a designer and typographer with a passion for sharing ideas and encouraging others. The collective is formed of group of multidisciplinary creatives with a mutual passion for typography. This issue looks at the concept of memory; the physical nature, the desire to hold on to them and fear of losing them and the personal memories we hold of those we have and those we’ve lost. For each issue sold we are donating one third of the proceeds to The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity very close to our cause, the rest simply goes back into printing. We thank you for you for buying our publication and for your donation, for taking the time to view and enjoy our work. Thank you to our contributors and everyone involved for all your hard work. With love, Miranda & Jesse Editors and Founders of YTC

TYPOGRAPHY

A study of the terrain, area, surfaces and history of the capital city. London has a vast array of compelling oddities and interconnecting forms. Hills, valleys and rivers split areas up into groups of disjointed alleys and hidden passages. This is a typographical map of memories.
