Young Associates 1:1 On the resting tock of an heirloomed timepiece, unwanted since being made of tin metal and without a value that wasn’t symbolic, a distant sun, in a galaxy that wasn’t our own, went unnoticed as it heaved and clasped and rouged its cheeks one last time like some great party popper of fire and death. While a pale moth delicately beat it’s wings as it blissfully locked horns and tussled with a lightbulb at dusk sending steady polyrhythms through the wind that would later be felt tapped on the thigh of a young debutant as she threw off her knickers in wild abandon, while at the same time 21 chromosomes would make contact with another 21 chromosomes,

while the light coming through the trees someplace else would mottle on the grass leading a dog walker to believe she had just had an epiphany, when a cat would jump in fright at something that only the cat knows, when a man would drink and be drunk, when an apple fell from a tree, when a beetle drowned in a puddle... And

then

and

they

there said

were there

The should

Elders, be

an

association, so there was, and they said there should be a publication, which the artists of the association thought ‘That’ll look good on my CV’ so there was. And they saw that the publication was good and great.
