Westlaw and LexisLibrary Certificates! 8.30am - 7.30pm 8.30am - 6.00pm 12.00pm - 5.00pm

Test your research skills and get a certificate! If you want to gain certification in Westlaw and/or LexisLibrary you have 2 options:

The Library will be CLOSED from 12 noon Fri 21st Dec until 8.30am Wed 2nd Jan.

Speak to your student rep. They can run a short, face-to-face, 1-2-1 training session, and will then show you how to complete the certification online: Westlaw – rebecca.edney21@lawcol.co.uk LexisLibrary – joseph.thompson81@lawcol.co.uk

Normal term-time hours resume on Wed 2nd Jan 2013.

Alternatively, go straight to the online certification webpages for Westlaw and/or LexisLibrary:

Loans over the Vacation Loan periods will be extended over the vacation: starting Sat 15th Dec 2012, loans will be due from Mon 7th Jan 2013. To borrow over the vacation, first clear any outstanding fines. Don’t forget to renew any existing loans taken up to Fri 14th Dec to ensure you get the extended loan over the break! 7th

If you are not due to be in College on Mon Jan, you must renew your loans on this day to avoid incurring fines. ‘Table event’ – LexisLibrary and Westlaw Come and meet Joseph Thompson and Rebecca Edney, your student reps for LexisLibrary and Westlaw, on Sat 8th December, over lunchtime (in the café), to find out more about these resources. Introducing Practical Law Company (PLC)… If you haven’t used PLC before it’s a great resource for many areas of law. Students have reported using it for PLR and PfP2 research.
