Your Intuition

The Butler and The Bell Ringer by MariannA Harangozo

I’ve always been a fan of Jamie Butler with her down to earth approach to Spirituality. I followed her over years as she brought forth answers to our questions about life on the Other Side, and discussions with Beings from other realms.

sensation. There is a vibration that stirs and releases, and this land does this to your energetic field. It vibrates it so much that it can’t hold on to the negative densities and it gets pulled off, so it’s like an energetic detox.

Jamie’s unique way of channeling knowledge from Spirit led me to seek out my own intuitive readings from her. As we began our connection, many amazing messages came from Sprit, which later on would change my purpose in this life. Here I share with you some of the most profound information I received from my readings with Jamie Butler:

I see that some people who show up to your land connect to the land and say they like it visually, but sometimes they’ll get nauseous, or emotional. Those individuals are losing those dense energies so fast that it’s creating a flu like symptom or a releasing of emotion.

“So many spirits have shown up today. Where you live came up a lot in my meditation. There’s something about being attracted to the minerals on the property. They’re talking about healing properties, and about a vortex on the land and it’s absolutely healing. It’s a loving, compassionate, very feminine property… very special in their eyes! I’m asking again to your very large team if there’s any way to make that connection more known. The comparison of what the vortex is like those DNA uploads. The vibration now on the Earth is vibrating our insides and we’re getting more enlightened and more evolved. The property itself has a completely different vibrational status because of the vortex, the energy reaches almost to the core of the Earth without interruption of other types of blockers like granite rock. It seems to be a very clear mountain! What got pushed up left like a straw to a very pure source of energy, and that was the land and materials that used to sit in that pure energy, so now its resting near the surface rather than down below. The vibrational quality of it is almost like a detoxing

That body of water on your property is connected to something deep underground. I don’t see this as a normal lake. I want to say something’s touching it deeper, some kind of underground stream where the water has been filtered through so many different things. It’s not just sitting there on top of the land. It’s breathing somehow somewhere else.” If any of you have ever wondered why you’ve had the experiences you have while visiting Akashic Ranch, this may be the reason why. Jamie’s interest in the energy of the Akashic Ranch land is what led to our collaboration for our opening weekend! *To read the full article and transcribed intuitive reading please visit the Inspiration page at

Renew your body and your digestion. One simple tip you can do every morning before you eat or drink: Drink 2 cups of water with lemon squeezed in it. if you want to BOOST it: add turmeric, ginger powder, cayenne, black pepper, sea or Himalayan salt, greens powder… or all of the above!

#2 Move.

Move more by going for daily walks outside. It will connect you with nature, refresh your soul and motivate you. It’s also a time when you can let your mind relax. Some of my best ideas come when I’m out for a long walk! (not talking, not listening to anything - just being).

#3. Breathe Deep.

Not just when you’re doing a yoga or meditation practice….right now! When you wake up, before you eat, drive, start work or talk to someone, when you feel stress ...or relaxed! when you hug someone, before you make any decision, before you go to bed… All-the-time!

relationship BY TAMMIE ORAM

It’s spring! This time of year is perfect for getting stuff done and getting our love life back on track…no more excuses! Here are some ideas to reenergize our relationships: 1) Rainy days are romantic: Get outside and breathe in the fresh air while sharing space under an umbrella. Pick up a tea and head out to your local park and be present in each other’s company. This is not time-consuming nor a vigorous hike, just a meandering stroll arm-in-arm sharing an intimate moment plus thoughts and feelings of love and laughter. 2) Farmer’s Markets: Spend some time reacquainting yourself with fresh spring greens while meeting up friends as you enjoy each other’s company and share energy with your community. Support our local farmers and bring home some spring blooms for a special someone! 3) For Active Couples: Golf courses, tennis courts etc. Now is the perfect time to get outside and soak up the sun. Head up into the hills to hike and immerse yourselves in natures’ splendour. Bring a blanket and some refreshments to share while being present with each other and Mother Nature. 4) Garden: What a better way to spend some quality time than working on a common goal of yard clean up or garden-planning. When we work together with our partners and our children, the bounty we harvest will be that much sweeter. 5) Get Close: Skin-to-skin contact is the best form of physical touch. Research shows that we receive a better quality sleep when sleeping au naturel and in close contact with our loved one. It has also been said that the smaller the bed the stronger the relationship! 21k RUN

Physical and Emotional Health BY LAURA PELLETIER

I t’s no surprise that more and more people are suffering from

mild depression, anxiety, stress, and weight gain: it is reaching epidemic proportions. Winter may contribute since at this time of the year, we eat more, exercise less and have sleep issues, lack of motivation, weight gain plus family and work issues. Shorter days and colder weather have a lot to do with our moods. You may find yourself in a not-so-happy place, and no one wants to be there! What can you do to make it less stressful? here are some suggestions.

And one of the most important things you can do is to exercise: the body is made to move. So do anything that moves you, even a simple walk. And for those who do not want to exercise, or cannot due to chronic conditions, try whole body vibration: only 10 minutes per day equals 1 hour of traditional exercise and it’s safe and simple to use. Whole body vibration has many benefits: Increases serotonin and dopamine which are mood regulators Regulates blood sugar levels and provides the body with more oxygen, circulation, detoxification and better digestion. Works with energy and meridians Burns calories by increasing metabolism and builds muscle mass Relieves pain, soreness and tension Gives you better sleep and mobility Prevention of disease: increases immune system for protection from flu and colds Plan ahead, it will make sure you follow through. Use these tips to enjoy a healthier life: emotionally and physically! Laura Pelletier is the owner of Kwikfit Canada Ltd. what is a what is it healing telling crisis you

The body (and mind) have the innate ability to heal themselves; this is a fact. If you are experiencing poor health, the body will need to be supported to clean and heal. Part of this process could be a healing crisis - the body’s own action of self healing. A short and possibly dramatic “house cleaning” eliminates toxins in the tissues, elevating the body to a returned state of health and vigor. Healthy

Found in homeopathy, the concept of a healing crisis is stated in Hering’s Law of by Terri Bernath, CR, CH, TheraPhist Cure: all cure starts from the within out, from the head down, Cold/Flu and in reverse order as the symptoms have appeared. If the original causes of the health concern are not attended to, a progressive order of stronger symptoms will keep appearing until the original cause is reversed. For example: A person gets a cold which will “go away” after some cold remedies are used. More colds may follow which in time may lead to a flu. Toxins stay in the tissues, causing further symptoms. This may include bronchitis, asthma and pneumonia. Eventually a degenerative lung condition may appear. Once holistic attention is given to the body through natural modalities, diet and exercise, energy will build and all of the toxins can be dispelled by the body: a beautiful healing crisis. The reverse order of the symptoms (not the disease) will flow through the body: pneumonia followed by asthma, bronchitis and flu/cold. What could you do during a Healing Crisis?

Use of holistic practice, natural supplements and healing foods

First of all, respect and embrace what is happening to you. Your body is cleaning house and needs to be treated lovingly. Remember that toxins are like poison! They won’t feel good as they are moving through your elimination channels, but you will feel MUCH better afterward. z Drink lots and lots of water…the more the better. Water helps flush out the toxins. z Juice with fruits and vegetables (organic produce is best), followed by whole organic foods. Avoid acid and mucus forming foods. z Use herbal and homeopathic preparations instead of drug store remedies to assist the cleaning process. Consult with the appropriate people to guide you. z Rest and sleep are critical. Stay at home. Use your energy to hetal, not work. Gentle walks would help too. z Part of the process of cleansing happens at the emotional level. You might experience old feelings/emotions resurfacing. Don’t deny those emotions and do not suppress them. Sit with them and express them in whatever manner fits for you. z BE GRATEFUL for your body’s wisdom and ability to heal. You will feel better than you have for a long time after the healing is done. Celebrate!

Fascia is a soft connective tissue that plays an important role in proprioception and coordination of movement. Fascia functions to move segments of the body by enveloping joint capsules, tendons, ligaments, bones, organs and muscles. Fascia creates a framework of tensegrity between surrounding tissues and joints as well as the ability to adapt movement quickly by fine tuning at the corresponding joint retinaculum. This adaptation, is quicker than the simplest nerve reflex arc! This means, to adapt or fine tune a movement, the nerve impulse does not need to reach the spinal cord first before completing the movement. It’s ground substance consists of collagen and elastic fibers, as well as cells called fibroblasts that secrete the chemical substance called hyaluronic acid. This substance provides the slippery membrane for muscles and joints to allow for slide and glide through contraction and relaxation phases. When muscles become over worked or repetitively used, fascia is also strained and loses the ability to secrete hyaluronic acid ( HA). When this happens, muscles are unable to slide and glide freely causing densifications or “knots”. It has been proven, that areas of dysfunctional fascia can be modified by applying a mechanical force to stimulate the body’s natural inflammatory response. This process promotes healing through 3 stages. The inflammatory phase, proliferation phase, and remodelling phase. By stimulating the first phase to begin its process, the next phase will naturally begin and so on until the once injured tissue will become re-established to its homeostatic state. During the inflammatory phase, inhibited fibroblasts are stimulated to secrete hyaluronic acid and therefore, re-establish the slide and glide between muscles. mindfulness a new mother’s perspective By Natalie Saari

As a yoga therapist, yoga teacher and devoted yoga practitioner, I truly believe in the power of mindfulness. But what does it mean to be mindful? As humans we are often not "present" in our own lives, often fail to notice the positive, fail to hear what our bodies are telling us, or in some cases we can self-sabotage with self-criticism. Our minds can be overloaded with thoughts, examining past events, anticipating or worrying about the future. Becoming more aware of our thoughts may sound like the obvious solution, however learning to do this in a way that suspends judgment and self-criticism can have an incredibly positive impact on us as humans. Mindfulness is a way of focusing our attention, being fully present in the moment, seeing and experiencing what is - as it happens. Easier said than done! It will not eliminate life's pressures, but it can help us to respond with calmness and clarity. I recently held a circle for new moms called Mindful Mamas. It was a beautiful mix of unique mothers and their sweet little babies. When we come together in a circle, the floor is open for conversation, sharing ideas, problems, stories and more. After the circle, I spent some time in reflection: Being a new mom myself, I found myself distracted during our circle, bombarded by my own mind, an abundance of thoughts: "How is my baby doing? Is she not feeling well? Is she sick? Oh no, is she going to start screaming and disturb the circle? Is she ok? Oops, I missed what they were talking about.." I’m sure these types of thought-patterns are typical of mothers: worrying about their children endlessly. I realized that being mindful is - and will always be - a work in progress, especially as a new mom. Being present in a group while minding a child certainly is a challenging task. But we should not be concerned about 'disturbing the peace', especially in situations like this. In a circle, we are surrounded by like-minded people. In this group, we choose to practice mindfulness, to work on nurturing the connection to our baby and to ourselves. Most importantly, we are here to support one another. We must remember that peace ultimately lies within our own minds. As we learn to ground ourselves by practicing mindfulness, we can experience peace anytime, anywhere. Changed My Life by Imogen Wood

CrossFit: a high-intensity fitness program incorporating elements from several sports and types of exercise. To some people, CrossFit can sound really scary. When I started CrossFit, I had no idea how it was going to change my life for the better. I was skeptical: surely it would hurt, but would it even be fun? It took just one class to get me hooked, but the greatest part about CrossFit were the changes that occurred over the next four years. You can learn to be stronger, faster, fitter, healthier and do it in a fun environment with amazing people. What have you got to lose?

Performance When I started CrossFit I thought I was in good shape. I was a dancer, a Zumba instructor and I did yoga nearly everyday. Then I did CrossFit. I remember the first class I ever did: it was a sled push, barbell team workout. It was so much fun! Very quickly I discovered that there were movements that I couldn’t do. Pull-ups, push-ups, the snatch, bench press etc. My amazing coaches and fellow students encouraged me to do modifications until finally, I could do them all! With hard work, determination and practice, I am able to do things that I never thought that I would!

Social From the moment you step foot in a CrossFit gym (aka “box”), you know you are not in a “regular” gym. People walk up to you to

introduce themselves, shake your hand and make you feel welcome. Crossfitters have a reputation for being ultra-fit, strong, passionate people, so your first day can feel a little intimidating. In truth, crossfitters actually come in all shapes and sizes and personalities, but what they all seem to share is a friendly encouraging attitude towards anyone in the gym. They cheer you on when you achieve your first pull-up or when you hit a one rep max and rub your back when you are having a tough day. These people have become my closest, dearest friends. It is a strong caring community full of interesting people who have encouraged me to be a better version of myself.

Aesthetics Everyone loves a transformation story and my story is one of change too. I have been doing CrossFit for 4 years and I have seen my body change significantly. I am more muscled, toned, stronger and leaner than I have ever been in my life. Whilst I believe that I do CrossFit for the love of the sport and my community, I would be lying if I said I did not love the changes CrossFit has made to my body! I have lost 18 pounds, many inches and I can say - happily for the first time in my life - that I feel amazing in my own skin! Model in the photo: Miranda Cuthbertson

relationships, dogs,

& happiness by Maggie Reigh

Dogs are so forgiving aren’t they? As I watch my dog, Sami prancing along in front of me I am so grateful that he doesn’t hold a grudge. Not once does he cast a sideways glance at me, ruefully chastising me for missing our walk time for the past 2 days. To the contrary, every bone in his little body and every step he takes seem to be singing, “Thank you! Oh thank you! I so adore you! I love our walks together!” I smile and promise myself that I’ll be sure to do this more often. I can’t help but think how differently I might feel if Sami was somehow trying to punish me for the missed walks. Maybe give me the ‘cold shoulder’, the ‘silent treatment’, or grumble and growl as he trudges reluctantly behind me! How eager would I then be for our next walk – or our next whatever? Maybe there wouldn’t even be a “next.” Comparing this to human relationships, I recognize how easily entangled we can become in the subtle and destructive games of punishment, reward and manipulation to get the evidence we want that “proves” that we are important enough. Reflect on lost opportunities to have fun with people you love and work with because you were immersed in resentment…trying to teach them how to meet your needs! I’m so grateful that I now recognize when I am holding a grudge and can free myself from my own inner torment. The more grateful you are to whoever and whatever is right here in this moment for giving you the opportunity to express joy, the more ease and happiness will flow naturally through your life. Thinking about my human relationships, I realize I’ve learned a lot from my little dog! Maggie Reigh, B.Ed; B.T; CHt. is a dynamic speaker and a highly skilled hypnotherapist. understanding your

Do you ever take the time to understand your own intuition? Every one of us has a divine gift of spiritual essence flowing every day. But so often we block it with busy schedules, too much social time, endless Netflix and everything in between. What if you could live your life each day feeling divinely guided on a soul level? Knowing that every decision you make is intricately designed to awaken your highest Self? What would this make possible for you? Who would you show up as? How would your life shift? Here are three simple steps to begin interacting with your intuitive guidance every day:

Notice your intuition speaking to you

How does your intuition show up in your body? Is it a gut-feeling, a creative surge of energy or a deep longing? Begin exploring experiences where you feel intuitively connected and learn how your body speaks to you. Journal about your intuitive connections daily before bed.

Create space for your intuition to be heard

Meditate, go for solo walks in nature, journal, ask questions of yourself, pause before you make decisions. Do all these things to give your intuition the chance to be heard and felt. It desires to be heard, start creating space to do exactly that.

Surrender into Faith

When those moments arise and you feel intuitively guided to take action, simply do it and trust that it is for the greater good of all. When you feel you absolutely NEED to cancel your plans, that nudge to call an old friend and check in, that late night creative hit (even though it may not be socially acceptable or rational) act on it and surrender into Faith. Trust the Universe, she’s got your back. Deanna Deacon coaches women to awaken their feminine intuition and re-emerge as their deeply powerful & highly influential Goddess Selves. Deanna is also the Founder of the global tribe of women supporting women; Soulful Sisterhood.

By Andrea Hansen

t the heart of Chinese medicine are the teachings that people should seek to create a way of life that lives in harmony with nature and with one’s environment to achieve greater health. Life cultivation, “the Art of Nurturing Life” is a Chinese Medicine practice that is quite simple: it is taking care of the body in a preventative way through proper diet and exercise, mindfulness, proper rest and sexual habits, and living in accordance with the seasons and seasonal forces to prevent disease from occurring and to maintain good health. Two guiding insights in the practice of Life Cultivation are to treat disease before it arises, and secondly that the microcosm contained within the human form is reflected in the macrocosm of the natural world around us. Recognizing these insights can encourage you to live in harmony and rhythm with the world around you. The result is greater health. There are five activities that tax the body according to classical medicine: too much sitting taxes the flesh, too much laying down taxes the qi (energy or function of the body), too much standing taxes the bones, too much walking taxes the sinews, and too much vision (staring or looking at things, like TVs or cellphones) taxes the blood. There are six poor lifestyle habits that damage the body: irregular and improper food intake damages the stomach, anxiety damages the lungs, alcohol damages the liver, too much sex damages the kidneys, under-eating damages the spleen, and overworking damages the yin—our nutrients, minerals, and blood. Bear in mind, of course, that in classical Chinese medical theory, the INTERIOR WELLNESS SPRING 2018

lungs and spleen, for example, constitute a paradigmatic function not generally conceptualized in Western physiology. Balance between enough movement and rest or meditation is essential. We are designed to function both under the influences of movement and in contrast with rest and moderation. Feel your body be still; feel it move. Eat at regular times, not too eat late at night, or to skip meals, and always to avoid overeating. Slowing down to chew and enjoy one’s food is encouraged and avoid being distracted whilst eating. Try to eat pure, fresh high quality foods. Avoid greasy, fried foods and too much alcohol. In modern times, of course, impure foods are a far greater concern. Eat foods that are easy to digest, like soups, stews, and steamed veggies and avoiding too many cold-natured foods, such as ice cream, chilled or frozen foods, cold drinks, raw foods. Cold liquids with meals were prohibited as they decrease digestive efficiency. Simply put, hold the ice when pouring your water! In summary, to avoid disease people need Yang Shen, to live in balance and moderation in all aspects of their day. This is the most effective way of preventing disease and maintaining a healthy body and mind.

horses yoga

by vivian evans

I am asked almost every day, what is Horses and Yoga? Truthfully there is no brief way to describe the experience... The horse and yoga practice is a way of unfolding and discovering yourself authentically through mindfulness. Combining the magical element of horse and yoga together can ignite a deep realization of how we are all connected.

youare loved

Wear your positive intentions. Local designer from Kamloops, BC.

The horse can appear larger than life, serene yet wild, present in front of you but in tune with all other energies that surround us. One of the sutras from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali speaks of this steady, rhythm of life as ‘Sthira- sukha’. Loosely translated, it is the balance of strength and softness that is practiced in our asanas. Horses live their life in a continual state of balance, their energy flows freely. As soon as you place your hand on the horse your yoga begins. You may be inspired to discover assanas with the horse, maybe to find stillness noticing how suddenly your breath and the horses synchronize in a healing meditation. It is allowing yourself to completely surrender to your vulnerabilities. Feel, live and breath your own truth. Vivian Evans is a 200hr registered yoga teacher in Kamloops, BC. She has an extensive background with horses and brings her two passions together offering Horse and Yoga retreats. Facebook: @vivianeyoga

meditation activism by mar ily n puf f

ctivism can be defined as “Action for Change”. Our divine masculine aspect strives and works physically and mentally to create change. In meditation, our divine feminine aspect reflects on body wisdom, underlying emotions and subconscious beliefs to discover ways to heal and develop new perspectives that create change. So, meditation is truly a powerful form of activism where we begin to transform. When we raise our awareness through meditation we begin to see and to feel what’s behind dis-ease or dis-comfort in our bodies and emotions. It can be a reminder of any minor or major unresolved feelings, beliefs and experiences that we carry. It's a conscious decision: meditatively asking yourself WHAT'S UNDERNEATH the emotions and the body disturbances? Yes I'm angry, sad or afraid …AND what's really going on? What's the underlying hurt or sadness I'm feeling? What's the belief I have about this situation or pain? Where have I felt this before in my life? You can explore different parts of who you are: What's going on for your little one inside that's maybe crying for attention, that's hurting from past trauma. Maybe you need to play more or be more patient and kind with your mistakes. What's going on with your teen one inside that mirrors how you were angry, depressed, impatient with the world, demanding to be heard and to know you are important enough to be listened to. That teen part of us that still strives to be acknowledged for how we are unique. What's going on for your adult one/ parent one that's maybe feeling overwhelmed with responsibilities, with unmet goals, with sadness of children gone or not arriving, of not being where you thought you should be by a certain time in life? Begin by taking time to be still, meditate and begin to pay attention to all the parts of yourself that are speaking to you. This is where you can make change in yourself and it's an action that ripples into your family, community and the planet. Your meditative activism creates huge ripples in the world! choice perception

is a

by Tania Niedbala

The most important decision we make is whether

we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe

— Albert Einstein

Our perception of our environment defines our daily life experiences and our existence on this planet. Our conditioned perceptions can interpret how we feel about ourselves, which determines how empowered we behave as humans. In this conditioned, fear-based society, we all have adopted understandings and beliefs that invite our perceptions to see things a particular way. Imagine you are standing on the sidewalk, waiting to cross the street. A bus speeds past, barely missing you. What story do you attach to that situation? Perhaps you may feel like a victim, emphasizing that you “almost got killed”. Or perhaps you may feel blessed and protected because you were standing in the perfect spot that was safe.

If you have adopted the belief that we live in a hostile world, your perception has been hijacked. This belief creates an energetic blueprint where you unintentionally give your power away. This can result in an unconscious habit of focusing your energy in the direction of lack or fear. Complaining, blaming, gossiping and judgement seem to feel justified when you believe you live in a hostile world.

Wellness Healing Workshops Classes Adventures Shopping Spa Friendships

If you believe that we live in a friendly universe however, your perception will focus on all the beauty around you because that is your energetic blueprint. Your perception will focus and observe all the magical, beautiful, simple, abundant, playful and supportive energies all around you.

Inspiration Spirituality

June 22-24

One of the most empowering ways to live is to constantly and consciously direct your energy toward choosing love instead of fear. Deliberately focussing on love for yourself and everyone around you eventually dissolves fear. Honour your free will as a sovereign being and choose love to create heaven on earth at this time - as it was meant to be.

Ayurveda and Spring; NEW BEGINNINGS by Tanya Thompson

Spring is a season of birth, new beginnings, and growth. Waking up from winter’s heavy slumber, we are inspired to lighten things up, cleanse ourselves of any accumulated imbalances and rejuvenate our deepest tissues. Spring gives us a renewed sense of joy and inspiration. In Ayurveda, spring is associated with the kapha dosha because the water element is dominant. Ayurveda teaches us that like increases like; so by winter’s end we can expect some kapha accumulation that is stimulated by the warmth of the sun. Changes in our natural environment create activity, lighter foods and new routines. Spring is a season of transition: don’t make your springtime routine rigid or static. The qualities to invite into your lifestyle and diet are light, sharp, dry and warm. Include lots of fruits and vegetables; bitter greens like spinach, dandelion and nettle; cabbage broccoli and cauliflower, legumes and also pungent foods like chiles, ginger, and onions. Spices to enjoy with food or in tea that help with digestions are; cinnamon, cardamon, black pepper, turmeric, coriander, cumin and fennel. Cleansing is perfect for the spring and 1/4 to1/2 tsp of turmeric with 2-4 tablespoons of aloe vera juice supports liver detoxification. Ayurveda recommends active exercise and a spring yoga practice that is faster paced, heating, and guided by precision and muscular effort. Include asanas like sun salutation, warrior I, warrior II, reverse warrior, forward bends, chest openers, and backward bends as well as poses that stretch, compress, stimulate, and cleanse the solar plexus like cobra, bow, side plank, spinal rolls, leg lifts, and twists. Pranayama breathing practices like Kapalabhati and bhastrika are perfect for the spring season. Enjoy the spring and keep it light.

We all have times when our world appears to be spinning out of control. It can by happen anytime but Kristy Janota is especially pronounced during major life events: change of job, additions to the family, illness, moving etc. Staying calm and centered will help alleviate the stress and allow you to think clearly! Here are 5 tips to try when the stress level starts to rise:

tips for

crazy going from

Reduce sensory stimulation while slowing the breath. Take a break in a quiet place – your room, the office bathroom, your car - then close your eyes and breathe. Breathe in deeply, pause for a couple seconds, and slowly, breathe out. Allow your breathing rate to slow. The combination will allow your brain waves to slow down and decrease your anxiety level.

Focus on neutral, repetitive things: Count what is around you, name what you see, look for colours, or count along with your breathing. As you can only focus on one thing at a time, moving your attention to something neutral will help you relax.

3 4

Sing along to a good song or sing on your own: out loud or in your head. Give the words and melody your full attention.

Make a gratitude list: Even in your toughest times, there will be things you can be grateful for. The ability to walk, see, hear, have people in your life, or have a roof over your head. Focussing on the good will keep your mind busy and promote calm.

Take a mini, mental vacation: Who wouldn’t enjoy a peaceful walk in nature, a stroll on the beach, or a tour of a quiet street in Italy? Where ever you would love to be, take yourself there in your mind. Fill in the vivid details with your imagination. You can go there whenever you need a break!

Stop Judging And Start Trusting Yourself

As a mom, it can be easy to feel too busy, lost, or disconnected. The expectations that we have learned to meet in order to be accepted in our society are incredibly damaging and unrealistic. Raising kids is a challenge, not to mention maintaining the marriage or partnership, taking care of the house, doing laundry, making meals…and you may also have a job outside the home! We have learned that this should all be easy, or at least look that way, as though life is perfect, and nothing is wrong - in the fear of being judged. Do you feel like you need to constantly worry about your next move in fear of what other people will think?

Individually, we have your own limits; some can handle more than others, and no one should be judged for that. Every mother's journey is unique and cannot be compared to anyone else's. You have a child. A unique little human that is like no other, who has unique parents like no other. There is nothing you can compare to since you are completely unique.

by Tracy Munson

So, why do we compare? Why do we judge? Judgement, of self and of others, often arises when you are not happy within yourself and because of fear. It really has nothing to do with anyone else. Even when judgement is coming towards you, it has nothing to do with you. If you are truly happy with where you are at in your life, with what you are doing with your family and children, judgement disappears. So next time judgement arises, remember this: You are doing the best you can. Your best is going to be different from anyone else, as their best will be different than yours. What you maybe able to handle may be completely overwhelming to someone else, and vice versa. The more you stay true to yourself and what you want to do, make decisions that feel good to you and are not for someone else, the closer you will become to being truly happy within yourself and trusting yourself. Get support, so you can live your life for you, and do what is important to you.

earth Let us not go only where the external beauty exists, yet where the Great Mystery awaits... Let us release the fear which holds us back from experiences of honour and valour and truth.. Let us move through all of the moments, which catch our breath... Let us have the courage to forgive others, when our ego holds us hostage in justification.. Let us say I LOVE YOU and mean it, not only on a sunny day, Yet when the rain pours down and we are unable to see the rainbow.. Let us be kind and gentle and understanding, especially in the moments when anothers choices do not make sense to us... Let us stand up in our uniqueness and loudly say I DISAGREE... Let us extend a hand to a stranger with no other reason than to say I SEE YOU, YOU MATTER... Let us see with the eyes of a child in wonder, and amazement.. Let us open our circle to welcome new faces.. Let us be the first to say I’m sorry... Let us work through our differences..

Let us not be bound by a role in our community, instead be open to new roles... Let us remove our mask and say TODAY I AM OPEN... Let us create sacred contracts and honour them, by truly showing up when it matters... Let us allow enough space to hear anothers story , for we each have one to share.. Let us construct the supports needed, so when our paradigm shifts we are standing strong together.. Let us be mindful of our relationships and nurture them like seeds in a garden.. Let us dance for to dance is to pray and to pray is to plant seeds..... Artist, medicine woman, singer, poet, djay, radio producer. Born and raised in Kamloops, BC. The concept of becoming a channel for healing is intended to lessen ego attachment to the process and outcome of healing sessions. A channel places no limits on the amount of energy that may flow between a limitless source and its recipient. A channel may be energized by the flow of energy rather than tapped out by a belief that the healing is coming from the “healer.

Breathe. Open. Relax Try 10 to 20 minutes of gentle stretching and moderate to deep breathing in low light. Smile or maintain a neutral visage with ultra-relaxed face and neck muscles. Move into a relaxed position and envision an orbit of pure, loving light that continuously flows down the front centre of your body's core and up the back.

may achieve a clear, focused state to allow healing safe passage from an abundant source to those who open to it.

Cut the Energy. When a session comes to a close, it is important to cut energy. Or think of it as sealing in the healing energy that has reached its recipient. You could do this by running your hands down through your energy field with a gentle slicing motion. Express gratitude for the amazing opportunity to be present in this moment of healing. As you dedicate to the practice of becoming a channel for healing energy, you will enter and maintain a clear state more quickly and for a longer period of time.

Allow your breath to guide you and to relax any physical and mental tension. Once you are open and relaxed, healing energy is drawn to where it is needed. Keep the focus on your breath while simply witnessing any thoughts or feelings that drift by. This process is about allowing rather than directing. As long as your intention is toward healing and love, your chosen healing modality will facilitate a beneficial outcome. Again, each person

art life of

in daily

by Carolyn Tytor

For many years, I have enjoyed the beauty of art, in my daily life. When I am feeling stressed, i will sit in a peaceful room, with light music on, and look out the window, to gaze at movement out. As I do this my mind relaxes, and my higher self allows a creative process to unfold. When I am finished, I see the reflection of my inner self, transposed upon the outer world, and I observe how it makes me feel. Each piece is unique, and created for a different purpose. For sometime now, I share my creative gifts with others, whether on a large scale such as a giant poster, which i place withing the branches of a tree in the forest, for an outside healing gathering, or a small picture, which has an individuals name upon it, offering as a means of the intention of a healing for that person when they receive it. In all that I do, the teachings of my late adopted Grandfather come forth, as he was a traditional Navajo medicine man. The blessing to a person would be to say, "May you always walk in beauty". Another would be to tell someone , "Take good care of yourself, from the tip of your toes, to the top of your head", for this is considered "the longest prayer". Each day whether i am beading, knitting, drawing, writing, praying or present in my community, this awareness is in all that I do. The power of colours, shapes, words and intentions, flood our daily experience in life, and when we are fully awake, open and

willing to receive , then the gift of the love, infused into the work that we do, when we create from that place, is a true blessing to others, when they enJOY that gift. We each have, as Jamie Sams would say, "gifts, talents and abilities". To share these freely, allow the teachings from where they came, to be honoured, acknowledged and continually flowing in life, in all that we do. In time, we may become transmuted , so that in each step, or dance move, in even observing, on a quantum level, we are affecting our world around us. So as I know, that even to create an abundance for ourselves and others, is to see the beauty, embrace it, and give it out to those who truly may be blessed by it. I am grateful each day, that I may share who I am, as I continue to learn that I continue to change and grow. The power of words, through art, is my means of healing. Know that we need not be experienced to enJOY for the sake of the JOY in that creation. In my Grandfathers words,"wojonaslee, wojonaslee, wojonaslee, wojonaslee, and then all things became beautiful. flowers We A R E t h e G a rd e n By Nancy Carpenter

Every human being, no matter who you are or where you live on this finite planet needs the same ingredients to have joyful, healthy and long lived life. FOOD…Each of us needs wholesome nutrient filled food. Buy organic, local or grow our own garden. Learn to cook, share a meal and remember you are what you eat! LOVE… We are longer lived and generally happier humans when we give and receive love. This includes self- love and random acts of kindness. OXYGEN…Clean fresh air! Breathe deeply and take it in! If you live in the city keep plants indoors, escape to the country or the water. Do what it takes to have fresh air. WATER…No one can live long without water. The quality of the water you drink and bathe in matters. Ditch the bottles. Water loses it ‘life’ after two days. Find ways to filter water at home if you must. EXERCISE…Move your body! A walk in the morning or after supper, go to the gym or yoga studio. Exercise is necessary for physical and mental health. It also contributes to better sleep and appetite. REST…Even God took a break after working all week! We all need down time and we need uninterrupted sleep. Naps are good too! SPIRIT…Have a spiritual practice, connect with the Divine, create sacred space. Meditate, pray, dream, ask and listen. When we are in alignment all doors open. Flowers. By making conscious choices to tend our personal garden we support ourselves, our planet and everyone else on it. Peace.

By Sharon Davison In Spring we celebrate new life and new energy that brings us green shoots, budding trees, and wakes us up from the sleepiness of winter. We look forward to the growth of new leaves or perhaps blossoms that eventually produce a bounty for us to enjoy. The image of a tree in spring is a wonderful one to consider with regards to money. Often when we think of our money, we think of the bounty and abundance that we want at the end of the season rather than focusing on the small green sprouts that must be present to grow to the fullness we desire. It's the everyday expenditures, the every week decisions and the every month reconciliations, that allow our ‘green’ to healthily grow larger and longer. There is a connection between a tree and money, so lets work with that a bit; money actually is paper, represents energy, and takes time to grow. And springtime is perfect time to assess our money and seed our bank accounts and investments. Just as it is not likely that you are going to have a full-grown money tree in your back yard, its not likely you will have the fully matured money result you imagine if you do not take time and attention to plant the seeds that are possible today. This spring, to follow the wisdom of the tree, you might ask yourself: • In what way can I plant a seed that will help me to grow the healthy money outcomes I would like to see in the future? • What work do I have to do to bring about the fertile ground to support my finances and dreams becoming reality? • What might stand in the way of this growth? • Am I ready and willing to begin planting, knowing it will take time to see it blossom? your intuition By Tara Bradley

arning: it is important that you don’t believe what I am writing here. Yes, you read that correctly, I don’t want you to believe me! How can you trust your Higher-Self if you are putting all your trust in someone else? no one else can be an authority for YOU. Understanding this truth is one of the first steps to increasing and strengthening your own intuition. Intuition is our Higher-Self communicating with our fear based Ego-Self. Our Ego-Self tries to keep our body alive and maintain our perceived status-quo, while our infinitely wise and source-connected Higher-Self connects us to knowledge and information that is available beyond what is seemingly evident. Discerning which Self is in the driver’s seat at any given moment is another step toward trusting your intuition. To be sure, there are times where one or the other is the appropriate driver. They both serve necessary purposes.

“feelings” and act on them you reinforce to your Higher-Self that there is value in the information, so your Higher-Self sends more information each time. Every time you act on the Higher-Self’s awareness your intuition gets stronger. So, please don’t believe me. Ask your Higher-Self if these beginning points resonate as true. Learning to trust your intuition is a personal journey that can be enhanced by learning from those who have walked that path. Though no one can walk your path for you, and therefore no other is an authority higher than your own, you can find teachers who may shine a light on parts of your journey. Just remember to believe your own Higher-Self above all else!

Another step toward strengthening your intuition is to show your Higher-Self that you are listening to the messages and information being communicated to you. When you listen to the initially vague
