Triad membership allows members to use all of the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina branches and YMCAs of Greensboro, High Point, Alamance County, Rowan County, Eden, Western Rockingham, Tom A Finch (Thomasville) and J. Smith Young (Lexington).

Membership Rates vary by age, number of individuals included, and branch location. Fees are required for all new members joining the YMCA or current members who let their membership lapse for more than 30 days. Payment Options include invoice payments due semiannually or annually upon joining and bank draft membership fees are withdrawn from a checking or saving account each month. Financial Assistance is available so that no one is turned away from the Y due to the inability to pay. Pick up a form at the Y or download from our website. Guest Policy and Fees are available for guests who will temporarily use our facility. Members may bring unlimited guests as long as each guests come no more than 3 times in the same calendar year for free.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Child Care Children are like sponges - they watch and absorb knowledge, skills and values from everything and everyone around them. At the Y, we believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why our Child Care and Child Watch programs are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other. These services are free for Household and Adult with Dependent memberships and available while an adult is participating in a Y program.

Child Watch We offer free drop-in child care while mom or dad makes use of the Y. Enjoy peace of mind, while your child engages in playful activity with other children in a safe, supervised environment while you exercise or connect with others over shared interests.

Middle School Madness Reconnect with old friends and meet new ones at all night lock-ins in March and May for Middle School. Kids’ Night Out Enjoy a night out on the town while babies and kids ages 6 weeks to 11 years have a fun-filled evening with our lively and capable Y staff. Activities include an action-packed evening of swimming and games. Family Nights Bring the family out for our monthly Family Nights for fun events such as special family swim time with games, movie nights with popcorn and many other fun times. Summer Day Camp With an action-packed schedule of assembly, swimming, arts & crafts, sports and more the summer will zoom by while kidsmake lifelong memories and new friendships. With flexible schedules and a wide range of activities, you belong at summerday camp! Register early for discounts. Camps are available for rising K-5th and 6th-8th graders.

Family Time Healthy Kids Day Celebrate and encourage the whole family to prioritize healthy eating and physical activity during this free community event. The Y hosts entertainment, activities, refreshments,games and more! Stop by the Welcome Center if you’re interested in volunteering. Birthday Parties Celebrate your birthday at the Y! We offer a wide range of party options from the pool to the basketball courts. And we handle clean-up, decorations and more.

Swim, Sports, & Play It isn’t always about whether you win or lose, but what you learn in the process. In our sports programs, kids meet new friends, build athletic skills, develop life-long passions and achieve goals in a supportive environment with caring adults. Y sports programs focus on values, sportsmanship, and fun!

Youth Tennis Youth ages 7-14 will get an overview of the game of Tennis. Beginners will learn the basics of the sport while the more advanced will work on improving the skills they have. Youth Track & Field For ages 6-12, get ready to run, jump, and throw with this introduction to classic track & field events including everything from relays to long jump to throwing. Youth Volleyball With both Developmental and Competative Leagues, your young athlete will find a great environment to learn and improve upon their volleyball skills. Open for ages 8-18. Tiny T-Ballers For ages 3-5 this program will give an introduction and overall basic skill building for the game of T-ball.

Aquatics Make a splash with our four-week program that provides a critical life skill and love for this challenging sport. Classes range from water orientation classes to the more advanced technical and skill training. Introduce your children to the aquatic environment through games, songs, and aquatic activities in order to enhance physical, cognitive and social development. Parent/Child Swim Lessons This program provides an early water experience for children from 6 months to 3 years. Children progress from water adjustment activities through basic water skills. Program instruction is directed toward helping parents work with their children. One adult must accompany each child. Preschool Swim Lessons This class introduces children, ages 3 to 5, to their first experience swimming without a parent. It is a great way for kids to learn how to be independent and have fun in the pool. A trained swim instructor teaches this class using the YMCA core values. Children learn at their own pace moving through our four skill levels. Preschool swim levels are Pike, Eel, Ray, and Starfish. Youth Lessons This class consists of six levels, which focus on stroke development, water safety, personal growth, and fun. A trained swim instructor works with children, ages 6 to 14, at their own pace using the YMCA core values, building self-esteem, as well as self confidence through swimming. Adult Swim Lessons This class is for any adult, ages 14 and up, ranging from beginner through advanced. A trained swim instructor works with you moving at your own pace, learning basic stroke development, and water safety. Classes are 45 minutes.

TYDE Swim Team We believe in developing swimmers who are better prepared in life by being better prepared in the water. TYDE provides a comprehensive swim program ranging from non-competitive stroke development clinics to programs that regularly produce nationally-ranked competitors. We work with swimmers of all ages, abilities and competitive levels to carefully place each participant in a program that will allow them to grow and develop as both an individual and an athlete. Private and Semi-Private Swim Lessons These sessions are designed to improve your swimming at your own pace and create a safe environment to build your comfort level in the water. Enjoy one-on-one instruction or pair up with a friend to work with one of our friendly certified swim instructors. Each session is 30 minutes. Lifeguarding Class Learning to save a life is a big responsibility. That’s why we have certified trainers to engage class participants in the coursework that prepares you for a lifeguarding job or just helps you be better prepared in the water. YMCA training meets all local guidelines.

HEALTHY LIVING Health, Well-being, & Fitness

Boot Camp Boot camps are a great way to kick-start your fitness goals or to break through a weight loss plateau. Certified trainers and experienced instructors utilize unique equipment and great work-outs to help you reach your potential and show you how far you can go when you push yourself. 5K Training Program Cross the finish line in the 5K Training program that helps beginners progress to running the 3.1 mile distance. Support your favorite causes at local races, meet running buddies, and reach your goal of becoming a runner. Active Older Adults The Y is proud to offer a variety of programs committed to helping seniors maintain a healthy lifestyle and strengthen social ties. Participants in the program enjoy group outings, health education seminars, group fitness classes, volunteer opportunities and events designed to promote mental agility, good health and independence. Transformation Nation Triad What is standing between you and the version of yourself you want to be? Now is the time to transform yourself both inside and out. TNT includes free group training at the Y from personal trainers and wellness coaches, support from a team all working toward personal wellness goals, and expert information from nutritional and motivational speakers.

Personal Training Program Sometimes we all need an expert to help reach our full potential. Embrace a healthier lifestyle with a program designed especially for you! Our certified personal trainers focus on personal growth and are dedicated to your individual success. The Y also offers specialty and small group training sessions. Group Fitness Try out some group fitness classes to find the right one for you! We offer traditional Group Fitness classes like cardio and strength training, as well as branded classes like Metabolic Effect and Zumba. All of these classes are free with membership and held in our group exercise studio.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Girls Rule! A program for teen girls ages 11-14 designed to build their self-confidence in themselves, help them deal with teen issues such as bullying and relationships with their peers and their parents. Sessions start in February and June.
