Body Composition Testing Body Composition is the body’s fat mass vs fat free mass. Achieving a healthier body composition can help improve an individual’s overall quality of life and overall wellness. Aquatics Swim Lesson Session Information: 4 Week Sessions: $44 members, $85 potential members January 6th - January 30th February 3rd - February 27th March 3rd - March 27th April 7th - May 1st 3 Week Sessions: $33 members, $65 potential members May 5th - May 22nd Saturday Sessions: $33 members, $65 potential members January 4th - February 8th March 1st - April 12th (no lessons April 5th) May 3rd - June 14th (no lessons May 24th) Parent/Child Swim Lessons This program provides an early water experience for children ages 6 months to 3 years. Children progress from water adjustment activities through basic water skills. Program instruction is 30 minutes in duration and directed toward helping parents work with their children. One adult must accompany each child, and only one is recommended. If your child is not fully potty-trained, it is required that they wear a “swimmy” diaper. Program Days & Times: Mondays and Wednesdays: 10:10am – 10:40am Tuesdays and Thursdays: 6:25pm – 6:55pm Saturdays: 10:25am – 10:55am Ages: 6 months - 36 months Preschool Swim Lessons This class introduces children, ages 3 to 5, to their first experience swimming without a parent. It is a great way for kids to learn how to be independent and have fun in the pool. A trained swim instructor teaches this 30 minute class using the YMCA core values. Children learn at their own pace moving through our four skill levels. If your child is not fully pottytrained, it is required that they wear a “swimmy” diaper. A trained swim instructor works with children, ages 6 to 12, at their own pace using the YMCA core values, building self-esteem, as well as self-confidence through swimming during each 45 minute lesson. Adult Swim Lessons This class is for any adult, ages 13 and up. Whether you are afraid of the water and have never learned to swim, or hoping to improve your stroke, the adult class can help you. A trained swim instructor works with each participant, moving at their own pace, teaching water safety and stroke development. Our aim is to make sure you are comfortable in the water and in an environment you are able to learn. Classes are 45 minutes long. Program Days & Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:15pm – 8:00pm Saturdays: 8:05am – 8:50am Ages: 13+ Private and Semi-Private Lessons These lessons, designed to improve swimming at your own pace, are for individuals who are interested in one-on-one coaching or small group settings. Sessions are 30 minutes long. Both the private and semi-private lessons allow you to pick your own instructor, as well as the time you would like to hold the lesson as long as it fits into the current pool schedule. Semi-private lessons are made up of 2-3 participants; limited to 3. Participants should bring a towel and wear a swim suit; goggles are strongly recommended. 3 Private lessons: $80 members, $150 potential members 6 Private lessons: $140 members, $280 potential members 9 Private lessons: $210 members, $390 potential members 3 Semi-Private lessons: $120 per group for members, $200 per group for potential members 6 Semi-Private lessons: $225 per group for members, $360 per group for potential members 9 Semi-Private lessons: $320 per group for members, $450 per group for potential members Lifeguard Classes Become a lifesaver at the Jerry Long Family YMCA! Class dates range month-to-month, so please check online for specific dates. Each participant to complete the class will receive a YMCA Lifeguard Manual, fanny pack, CPR face mask, whistle and lanyard as well as their CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Oxygen and First Aid certifications. Program Days & Times: Dates vary each month; please check our website or at the membership desk for specific dates. Ages: 16+; Must turn 16 during the month of the lifeguard class to be allowed to take the course. Fee: $300 members, $375 potential members TYDE Swim Team We believe in developing swimmers who are better prepared in life by being better prepared in the water. TYDE provides a comprehensive swim program ranging from non-competitive stroke development clinics to programs that regularly produce nationally-ranked competitors. We work with swimmers of all ages, abilities and competitive levels to carefully place each participant in a program that will allow them to grow and develop as both an individual and an athlete. Family Time Easter Eggstravaganza Make the Y your family’s destination for Easter fun. The day will include a special bunny visitor, egg hunt in the pool, and an Easter message. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early! Spring Sports Flag Football League With all the action and excitement of classic football in a non-contact format, this program for children ages 4 to 13 improves overall fitness, as well as strategic game planning in a dynamic sport environment. Teams will practice one night a week and games will be on Saturdays. Practice and game sites will primarily be on the back fields at the Jerry Long Family YMCA or the fields at Morgan Elementary. Participants will receive a jersey to wear on game days. Everyone needs to bring water to practices and games. Mouth guards are strongly recommended. Please note: practice days are determined by coach availability. Parents may request a certain day and time, but we cannot always guarantee that time. Games with other local YMCAs may be scheduled as well. Kiddie Kickers Introduce your little one to soccer and teamwork with this approachable clinic-style program for ages 3 and 4. We start with the basics of the sport and grow a passion for an active lifestyle. Channel your toddler’s energy into a healthy interest in sports while learning the importance of focus and selfmotivation. Participants will receive a uniform consisting of socks and a jersey, and an age appropriate soccer ball. Each child will need to wear shin guards and bring water to every session. Program Dates: Week of March 17th - May 16th Days: Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays Hours: 5:30pm or 6:30pm Ages: 3 – 4 Fee: $65 members, $95 potential members Late registration begins February 20th and will result in a $15 late registration fee. Soccer League Learn communication and teamwork in a positive environment where every team member is important. Children ages 4 to 17 learn responsibility and dedication while improving soccer skills. Participants will receive a uniform consisting of socks and a jersey. Each child will need to wear shin guards and bring water to practices and games. Our program is schedule friendly with just one practice during the week and games on Saturdays. Please note: practice days are determined by coach availability. Baseball /T-ball League Hit a home run in this league-style program for children ages 4 to 10. All skill levels are welcome to improve their skills with team-building drills during the week and fast-paced games on Saturdays. Make new friends and work on individual abilities like hitting, fielding and base-running under the guidance of passionate and energetic coaches. Program formatting is divided into three age groups: Traditional T-ball for ages 4 and 5, Modified T-ball for ages 6 and 7 and Coach Pitch for ages 8 to 10. Practices will take place during the week at either 5:30pm or 6:30pm on the back fields of the Jerry Long Family YMCA and games will take place on Saturdays. Practice days are determined by coach availability. Parents may request a certain day and time, but we cannot always guarantee that time. All participants will receive a team shirt and an MLB replica hat. Players will need to provide their own glove and bring water to all practices and games. Youth Volleyball League Set yourself up for success and a fantastic time in our developmental youth volleyball program. An academy for 8 and 9 year old participants will meet on Mondays and focus on mastering specific skills and falling in love with the game. Leagues for ages 10 to 16 will meet during the week, with games on Saturdays that will factor in a little friendly competition to further enhance technique and teamwork. Every participant will receive a volleyball jersey and a trophy at the end of the season. Please note: practice days are determined by coach availability. Parents may request a certain day and time, but we cannot always guarantee that time. Basketball Academy Build basketball skills during the off-season with our motivating Y staff in this clinic-style program. Meeting one night a week at Clemmons Middle School, Basketball Academy staff work with the participants to improve skill development such as ball handling, shooting, and passing. Program Dates: Week of March 17th - May 16th Days/Hours: Ages 5 - 7: Mondays at 6pm Ages 8 - 9: Mondays at 7pm Ages 10 - 12: Fridays at 6pm Ages 13 - 15: Fridays at 7pm Ages: 5 - 15 Fee: $65 members, $95 potential members Late registration begins February 20th and will result in a $15 late registration fee.

Summer Sports Basketball League One of our most popular Y programs, our fast-paced league for kids ages 7 to 18 includes weekly practices and games. Our supportive volunteer coaches will help players grow personally as they strengthen skills and establish work ethic. Building friendships on and off the court, participants will learn how to read the game and the importance of working together as they gain confidence. Please note: All participants must attend a screening. To ensure fair teams, we will not accommodate requests for participants that do not attend screenings. Homeschool Homeschool PE The Jerry Long Family YMCA is offering an affordable Home School PE option for ages 5 to 12 (grades K-6). Our program will allow you the flexibility to choose one or two sessions per week and each one hour class will be held in our new Training Center, as well as utilizing the pool and outdoor fields. Your children will have the opportunity to learn teamwork, increase cardiovascular health, build strength, improve flexibility and spend time with other home school students in an engaging & exciting environment. Friendly knowledgeable staff help swimmers progress from beginner to advanced. MEMBERSHIP Benefits from membership include access to wellness and aquatics facilities, a reduced rate on all programs, free adult group exercise classes, water aerobics, child watch services, volunteer opportunities and much more. Monthly membership rates and joining fees vary by age, number of individuals included, and branch location. Guest visits and fees are available for guests who will temporarily use our facility. Members may bring unlimited guests as long as each guest comes no more than three times in the same calendar year. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Out of School Days (K-8th) Care is available from 7am to 6pm at the YMCA when there is no school for Teacher Work Days and some holiday breaks such as Winter Break and Spring Break. Each day will include exciting physical and imaginative activities that will help participants learn to respect themselves and others, work out differences and discover the value of friendship. Snow Days are included for students registered for YMCA After School Care. The Out of School Day rates apply for Snow Days for any participants not currently enrolled in YMCA After School Care. Program Dates: January 2nd, January 3rd, January 20th, January 21st, February 17th, March 28th, March 31st, April 1st, April 2nd, April 3rd, April 4th, April 21st, June 12th, and June 13th Hours: 7am - 6pm Ages: K - 8th grade Fee: $25 per day for members, $40 per day for potential members

Before/After School - Elementary School With a focus on safety, social growth and academic enhancement, YMCA Before and After School programs serve elementary school aged children at Clemmons Elementary, Lewisville Elementary, Meadowlark Elementary, Morgan Elementary, Southwest Elementary, and Ward Elementary. Convenient and flexible, the Y program incorporates time for devotion and character development, healthy snacks, homework time and assistance, as well as fun activities like active games and arts and crafts.

Preschool Enrichment Academy Our Preschool Enrichment Academy (PEA Pods) provides a safe and loving environment for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Our goal is to encourage and develop each child’s academic, social and physical development. Primary activities your child will enjoy include fitness and age-appropriate swim time, arts and crafts activities, creative play, music and story time, sports themed activities and a healthy snack. Let our energetic and caring staff provide your preschooler with an awesome day!

Students at Clemmons Elementary, Lewisville Elementary, Meadowlark Elementary, and Southwest Elementary are bused to the Jerry Long Family YMCA for the After School program. Only After School care is available for these locations.

Students at Morgan Elementary and Ward Elementary remain at the school after dismissal and YMCA staff provide care at the school each afternoon. The YMCA Before School program is only available at Ward Elementary. Program Dates: August 26th, 2013 – June 11th, 2014 Hours: School Dismissal – 6pm Ages: K-5th grade Monthly Fees: Before School: $70 members, $80 potential members After School 5-Day: $186 members, $228 potential members After School 3-Day: $150 members, $182 potential members Club 678 – Middle School After School Club 678 is an after school program for students attending Clemmons Middle, Flat Rock Middle and Meadowlark Middle. A tutor and supervised internet access are available so students can complete any homework or projects. There is a monthly curriculum that focuses on teaching self-respect, conflict resolution skills, and how to make healthy choices through clinic style activities. This program is designed to give teens a chance to have somewhere fun to hang out after school in a safe environment. Program Dates: August 26th, 2013 – June 11th, 2014 Hours: School Dismissal – 6pm Ages: 6th - 8th grade Monthly Fees: After School 5-Day: $186 members, $228 potential members After School 3-Day: $150 members, $182 potential members

Kids’ Night Out Parents, enjoy a night out while the kids have fun at the Y! Program activities will include arts and crafts, music and games. K-5th graders will enjoy swim time, so don’t forget your swim suit! Pizza and drinks will be provided. Program Dates: January 11th, February 8th, March 8th, April 5th and May 17th Days: Saturday nights Hours: 5:30pm - 9:30pm Ages: 6 weeks – 5th grade Fee: $15 members, $30 potential members Families with more than two children participating will receive $5 off additional children. A $5 late fee will be assessed for those registering the day of the program.
