This class is for children who have little or no water experience or have a fear of the water. Kicking, floating, reaching, shoulder bobbing and jumping are taught. Flotation based introduction to the major 4 swimming strokes. Class includes diving skills and opportunities to practice swimming without flotation. Learn rotary breathing and improve stamina for swimming strokes. Class goal is to eliminate flotation completely and swim independently. Swimmers bubbles should be no more than a level 2 bubble. Prerequisite: Able to swim 10 feet or more without flotation and fully submerge their head.

Polliwog: ages 6+

This class is for the child who has little or no experience. Jumping, bobbing, floating, kicking and gliding will be introduced, along with reaching, pulling and breathing control as the child becomes independent of the flotation devices. Guppy: ages 6+

Swimmers must swim half the length of the pool without assistance and submerge their face in the water to enter this class. Pre-Team Fins Program: ages 4+

These classes are designed for swimmers who are interested in learning the skills needed for competitive swimming and taught in a team format. The focus of the Fins Swim Program will be on stroke development, technique, and racing starts and turns. Swimmers should be able to swim one length of the pool freestyle and backstroke with no assistance & tread for at least 1 minute. Swimmers should own their own pair of flippers and goggles. Beginner Teen Swim Lessons:

ages 12+ A class for teens who have never had swim lessons before. This is a beginner level class to help teens build confidence in the water.

Adult Beginner Swim Lessons:

ages 17+ This is the place to start for adults who don’t have a lot of prior swimming experience. Participants will become more confident in the water and will learn the fundamentals of swimming and aquatic safety. Mon: 10:00am Tue: 5:45pm

Adult Stroke Development: ages 17+

Develop basic swim strokes and use swimming as a source of fitness. It is recommended that participants have taken beginner swim lessons before enrolling in stroke development. Mon: 10:45am Wed: 5:45pm

Advanced Adult Conditioning:

ages 17+ | M: $75 N: $113 This program provides workouts for triathletes and fitness swimmers. This class will aim to meet everyone’s needs. All levels encouraged to participate. Thu: 5:45pm

FINS SWIM CLUB 45 Minutes F: $120 M: $150 N: $200 We are taking our very popular fins program and bringing it to the next level. This club will swim twice a week for 45 minutes. Work on swim conditioning, flip turns, stroke mechanics, starts and all the essentials to help you get ready to try out for the Piranhas Swim team! Goggles are required for this class and fins are strongly recommended. Swimmers must be able to swim 50 yard (full lap) without resting and be able to show the basics of rotary breathing. Springboard Diving: ages 7+

Learn the basics of competitive diving. Students will practice approaches such as forward and back jumps in straight position, pike and tuck body positions, and forward and back dives. In this class participants must be able to pass the deep water test and do a forward dive from the side of the pool. Sat: 8:30am

Advanced Springboard Diving:

ages11+ This class is for divers who have been promoted from the beginner class or high school divers who want to perfect their advanced skills. Instructor recommendation is required. Sat:

PRIVATE LESSONS (members only) Private lessons are a great way to learn to swim or improve stroke techniques. Each lesson lasts 30 minutes. To register, fill out a request form at the Welcome Center. Lift Heavy, Look Lean for Women:

Beginner Yoga Series:

60 Minutes | M $49 N $99 This beginner yoga series is perfect of anyone who is new to yoga or would like to create a solid foundation deepening their yoga practice. In this 7-week series, you will be introduced to the core yoga poses that make up a flow class. Each week we will breakdown a series of yoga poses focusing on breath, safe sequencing and alignment. M $29 N $79 Train for a 5K! Torigian Family YMCA race training will get you up and on your way. Learn the basics of running through the practice of form drills, running intervals and eventually, non-stop running. Proper form and technique is emphasized so that participants can maximize enjoyment and minimize injuries. This progressive series is open to anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal of running an organized race such as 5K. Taking this program will prepare you for the YMCA of Metro North Road Race Series, which starts in April. Sat: 8:30am

Tai Chi:

Team Training Challenge

FREE for Members! Our climbing wall is a 21’ top rope wall that offers hours of challenge and excitement. Visit during open climb hours for an experienced staff belay. Visit the welcome center for open climb hours.


FREE for Members - Great for the family! Snowshoeing is a wonderful, low-impact aerobic activity that requires no special skills and is fun to do as a family. If you can walk, you can snowshoe! Stop by the Torigian Family YMCA Welcome Center and sign out a set of snow shoes for your family. Snow on the ground and daylight are required.
