Beginner Springboard Diving:

Swimmers must be able to swim the entire length of the pool with proficient front crawl and backstroke and tread water for 1 minute to enter the class. Swimmers are introduced to the four competitive swimming strokes as well as rescue skills and healthy lifestyle habits.

Teen Beginner Swim Class:

Ages 11+ A beginner class for teens who are beginner swimmers or who have never had lessons. This class will improve confidence and comfort and teach floating and horizontal swimming skills in freestyle and backstroke. Class length is 30 minutes. Wed: 5:45pm Sat: 11:50am

Students will practice approaches such as forward and back jumps, in straight position, pike and tuck body positions, and forward and back dives. In this class divers must be able to pass the deep end swim test and do a forward dive from the side of the pool. Sat: 8:30am, 9:30am

Advanced Springboard Diving:

Red Cross Lifeguard Recertification:

M: $100 N: $150 This is a 4 hour review and testing to re-certify for American Red Cross Life Guard, CPR/FA/AED and Optional Oxygen. Students should come to the review prepared and ready to show their skills. Certification must be current. Red Cross no longer accepts expired certification. Prior to taking this re-certification, please take the online refresher course found at www.redcrossrefresher.com. Players learn the proper techniques and the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting and learn the basic rules of the game. For the first 30 minutes, volunteer parent coaches help players build skills, and then lead a 30 minute game against another Y team. Player uniforms are provided. A personal trainer will guide you and your peers through a challenging treadmill walking or running 30 minute workout, immediately followed by a 45 minute stretch training workout that focuses on toning and sculpting the total body.

Melissa will take you through a TOTAL lowerbody workout which focuses on those hard to reach areas. Learn how to activate your glutes and strengthen your hamstrings in order to sculpt your lower body and define your core.

Beginner Yoga Series:

60 minutes | M: $49 N:$99 This beginner yoga series is perfect of anyone who is new to yoga or would like to create a solid foundation deepening their yoga practice. In this 7-week series, you will be introduced to the core yoga poses that make up a flow class. Each week we will breakdown a series of yoga poses focusing on breath, safe sequencing and alignment. In this series you will build strength, flexibility, balance and confidence to take any yoga flow class.

Adult Basketball League:

M: $125 N:$145 Team: $1,000 Our league is a competitive adult basketball league running for 10 regular season games and playoffs. The purpose of the league is to foster good sportsmanship and community in the spirit and form of competitive basketball. The league is open to men and women, members and non-members of the YMCA.
