GUEST SPEAKERS

Come meet the 2014 Camp Staff! Ask questions about camp weeks, field trips, tips for a successful summer and more. Get all of the information you need about camp, while the kids get a chance to know the counselors, play fun camp games and learn camp songs! Once all the questions are answered join us for a cookout and our first FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT of the summer! Movie begins at sunset (approximately 8:25pm).

In 2013, we began to bring in guest speakers to keep camp fun and interesting! Our campers had a great time getting to interact with reptiles, seeing exotic animals up close and more! This year we can't wait to welcome new guest speakers who will perform magic, teach us about weird science and so much more! Included in the cost of camp, your camper will experience the thrill of meeting a new guest speaker and learning new things each week.

Since 1921, Camp Duncan has provided safe, quality camping programs for boys and girls ages seven to 15 and Teen Adventure Camps for 15 to 17 year olds. All activities are geared to the developmental level of the campers. Camp Duncan is a co-ed, summer resident camp located near Fox Lake, Illinois, on 278 acres.

YMCA Camp MacLean

Camp MacLean is located just two miles east of Burlington, Wisconsin, just 20 minutes from Lake Geneva, on 247 acres of woods and grassland property. The camp offers fun and challenging activities such as swimming, climbing, boating, kayaking, archery, hiking, and much more. We also leave room for plenty of traditional programs, including sing-alongs, campfires and campouts.

YMCA Camp Pinewood

Traditional but up-to-date, Camp Pinewood features 16 cabins on a private, spring-fed lake, with every activity from sailing to horseback riding. The camp is nestled in the heart of the Manistee National Forest near Muskegon, Michigan. It’s convenient but remote enough to ensure that everyone enjoys the natural beauty of the camp’s 200-acre facility.

YMCA Family Camp Nawakwa

Family Camp Nawakwa offers a unique experience- an opportunity to bring together whole families, not just children, through camping. The camp sits on 180 acres of pristine forest lands, and includes wetlands and lakes with abundant wildlife. The camp is nestled in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, which is home to the Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.

YMCA Camp Independence

CHGO38

Camp Independence is a special place for campers age seven and up with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities. At camp kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group. At camp, we teach self-reliance, a love for nature, and the development of attitudes and practices that build character. Our counselors are dedicated to making sure camp is an amazing experience for every camper.
