EARLY LEARNING & CHILD CARE

PRESCHOOL & HEAD START PROGRAMS (Ages 2-5) Preschool is an exciting time as children embark on new adventures in the world of learning. At the Y, we regard each child as a unique individual who needs to be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated. Our NAEYC accredited programs provide activities where children learn, explore, build a positive self-image and develop strong social and emotional relationships. Y programs encourage children to explore their creativity through multisensory experiences and create a language-rich environment to promote and foster a love of reading. Children are exposed to art, music, math and science as they develop expressive and receptive language and gross motor skills. Our full day preschool operates Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack are provided. Help your child be kindergarten ready! Enroll him or her in our YMCA preschool program today! Call 773.235.2525 to register.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE (Ages 5-13) The Y’s after school programs are more than just child care. They’re enrichment programs designed to meet the developmental needs of the children with an emphasis on experiential learning, socialemotional development and the promotion of healthy living, all while providing a fun, safe and nurturing environment for children. McCormick Tribune YMCA offers on and off-site after school programming. Transportation from your child's school to the Y is provided. In our programs, parents have peace of mind, knowing their child has arrived safely to their after school program and is in a supportive environment focused on developing their true potential. After School Care includes healthy snacks, physical activity, nutrition and cooking education and other school enrichment activities. Additional services include homework assistance, math and reading support, art, sports, trips, events and a host of other resources students need to succeed. Your child wants a safe, nurturing environment after school. Enroll your child today! Call 773.235.2525 to register.

SCHOOL DAYS OUT Keeping kids safe and engaged when school is out. Looking for a child care option when your kids are out of school due to a school holiday, weather closing or winter or spring break?
