KID YOGA Give your child the opportunity to learn challenging and creative poses while maintaining a playful, fun class experience. » FAMILY PROGRAMS KIDS FUN NIGHT *Added Benefit for Parkway Community YMCA Family Members Only. Every Friday night at the Parkway Community YMCA is Kids Fun Night. These nights will afford parents the ability to leave the building for a fun few hours on the town. These events are a family member benefit that is exclusive to our Parkway Community Family YMCA members. Each week we will have pizza and our trained staff lead the children with crafts and games. You have the opportunity to register up to two times a month, so don’t miss out! 24 hour cancellation policy: Families who don’t cancel and do not attend, are subject to a $25 charge per child registered. Every Friday 5:30-7:30pm INDOOR PLAYGROUND (Drop In Class) We strive to provide a supervised, safe, enriching environment through non-structured, age-appropriate play activities in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. TEEN MONEY EXPERIENCE 8th grade and up Our program uses a life simulator and graphic novel to paint a picture of what your future might look like: do you want to be a teacher, a doctor, an engineer? Will you go to college, technical school, or straight to work? Do you want to start a family or own your own house someday? Maybe you’d prefer to travel the world? FIRST FRIDAYS *Exclusively for Saint Theresa Families First Friday of every month, on Saint Theresa Early Dismissal Days, the Parkway Community YMCA will provide enriching activities in a safe and structured environment. » TEEN/LEADERSHIP LEADERS CLUB Leaders Club is a nationwide teen program for youth ages 13-18 that teaches leadership skills through community service, volunteerism and personal growth. This group meets weekly and has 4 non-mandatory regional “leaders events” through the year. This program is free, except for the regional events. The cost of regional events are off-set by fundraising. Form more information please contact Rlavely@ymcboston.org. YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT This program is a model government program. High school teens will have the ability to enhance leadership, communication and debate skills. These skills are practiced through emulating a branch of the government, and will meet students from around the state. Teens will take part in four preparatory Saturday events leading up to a 2-day conference at the State House. This program costs $575. The cost of this program is offset by grants and fundraising.

This is a fun and educational class that will increase your young ladies body awareness, endurance, strength and power as well as forge relationships with other like-minded young ladies. » SMALL GROUP TRAINING INTO TO FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

Offering Two 4-week sessions Functional fitness exercises train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises highly emphasize core stability. Perfecting these movement patterns will put you in the best position to then successfully progress to common lifts such as Bench Press, Deadlift and Squat without injury. » SPECIALTY CLASSES SPECIAL EVENT PREP 30 minutes of nutrition education and meal planning accompanied with 2-30-minute Personal Training sessions! WEIGHT LOSS WARRIORS This class makes losing weight fun and educational. Regina creates meal and exercise plans geared towards weight loss with weekly lectures detailing the science behind weight loss. The exercise portion will guide participants through proper use and execution of weight machines, free weights and/ or specialty equipment. By the end of the semester participants will be able to create exercise programs for home or travel. Group workouts are Saturday @ 8 am or 10am (pick 1). Regina’s meal plans and exercise programs can be tailored to fit all sizes, experience and ability. Many participants have lost 15lbs or more within the 8 weeks now it’s your turn! » AQUA FITNESS HYDRO LITE AND LIVELY This water cycle class is designed to increase flexibility and muscle strength, as well as improve coordination, balance, endurance, and the ability to perform activities of daily living.
