AQUATICS ADULT Included in Membership AQUA FIT PRENATAL

This popular water class is just what you need to promote a healthy pregnancy. The supportive environment of the water will allow you to improve your endurance level and muscle strength as well as safely stretching those strained pelvic ligaments and muscles.

AQUA EXERCISE PERSONAL TRAINING

Water exercise is safe, effective and fun for all ages and all abilities, from a beginner to the professional athlete. Buoyancy creates a reduced impact exercise alternative that is easy on the joints, while the water’s resistance challenges the muscles. The following classes are included in all Student, Adult and Family Memberships.

Aquatic training offers advantages one cannot achieve on dry-land, regardless of the participant’s condition. By combining non-impact aerobics and strength training with the buoyancy of the water, you can obtain cardiovascular and muscle toning benefits without straining joints and muscles. Aquatic exercise is great for people with joint pain or undergoing rehabilitation, but also wonderfully effective for healthy adults. Participants receive a personalized program designed to help one achieve their fitness goals.

Training levels are determined by a combination of each diver’s age, ability, and commitment level. Divers can advanced to higher levels from session to session. Placement for each level of training will be determined by the Head Coach through a scheduled evaluation.

PRACTICE AND TRAINING

Diving training for all levels includes a combination of dry land conditioning and drill work, dry board and belt spotting, and 1-meter and 3-meter training with an emphasis on basic diving fundamentals before adding advanced skills. Video analysis through the use of TIVO assists divers in understanding corrections. Practices and training are designed to build confidence from a strong foundation while guiding each diver toward reaching their maximum potential.

Total Immersion:

Effortless Endurance Swimming

Would you like to be able to swim mile after effortless mile, enjoy every stroke, and feel energized, not exhausted when you finish? Would you like to do your best in a triathlon or swim in open water? The Total Immersion Effortless Endurance course will help you achieve all of that while showing you how to practice in ways that bring steady measurable progress. You’ll complete the class with swimming form you’ll be proud of and an invaluable skill for lifetime health

This series will cover the following:

Balance and Stability

Become ‘weightless’ by learning to cooperate with - not fight - gravity. An effortlessly horizontal body moves through the water more easily and calms churning legs. It also brings the body control and mental calm necessary to learn every skill that follows.

The Path of Least Resistance

Move through water, rather than move it around by: Shaping your body to be longer, sleeker, more hydrodynamic Moving your arms and legs in ways that reduce wavemaking turbulence and increases forward motion.

Swim With Your Body

Learn to replace arm-and-leg churning with surprising, yet effortless, power by connecting the actions of your arms and legs to rhythmic, relaxing weight shifts. Instead of generating muscular force you’ll direct ‘available’ forces of body mass and gravity.
