AEROBICS CLASSES abs & back Strengthen your entire core with this challenging blend of abdominal and back exercises combined with Pilates Mat practices. A great compliment to your cardio workout. 30 Minutes BOOT CAMP A full hour of full-body muscle toning, fun agility exercises, heart-pumping cardio drills, partner relays and obstacle courses. This class will challenge both the beginner athlete and the most elite. Enjoy the strength gains, cardiovascular benefits and flexibility improvements from a truly invigorating class. Class may be held outdoors, weather permitting. 60 Minutes Authentic Boxing Here’s the Sweet Science at it’s best. Provided by Golden Gloves Contender Jonathan Edmond, this class offers traditional boxing instruction and physical conditioning for all levels. Become stronger and learn to move faster all while improving your handeye coordination. Increase your awareness both physically & mentally. Conditioning exercises may include jumping rope, muscle strengthening and floor work. BRANDON’S TURBO SWEAT A high-energy, urban-inspired, total body, aerobic workout. Sweat guaranteed! 60 Minutes

for beginners as well as advanced athletes. 75 Minutes STEP & SCULPT A class for all levels designed to provide a great cardio step workout. Classes typically consist of 45-55 minutes of cardio exercise, followed by weights, abdominal exercise and stretching. Focus is on intensity and simplicity. 90 Minutes ZUMBA® Spanish slang for “to move fast and have fun”, Zumba combines Latin and international music with easy-to-follow dance routines to make up a heart pounding hour long class that will have you begging for more. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. 60 Minutes total body blast Go ahead, challenge yourself! This total body blowout combines targeted body sculpting exercises along with high energy cardio. It’s a perfect way to sculpt your body naturally while having a BLAST! 60 Minutes

PILATES & YOGA CLASSES

CORE N’ MORE A circuit training class which combines basic step moves, weights, kickboxing, Pilates, and sports combinations. The focus of this class is on maintaining a high heart rate so you can burn calories while increasing strength and balance. 60 Minutes

piLATES MAT Come discover the power of a strong core, and feel why it is called your body’s powerhouse! This class offers all the basic moves for a good Pilates Mat foundation; proper breathing, good alignment, proper engagement of targeted muscles, poise and grace. Learn how to strengthen, lengthen and tone your muscles without putting stress on the joints. 60 Minutes

POWER LOW An energizing but low impact, floor aerobics class with basic choreographed routines. Format consists of a warm-up, 30-40 minutes of cardio exercise, followed by weights, abdominal exercises & stretching. Great

PILATES SCULPT The best of Pilates Mat and strength training in one! Tapping on the foundation of engaging the core of Pilates, this class will use fine movements and free weights to sculpt the muscles and build strength. 60 Minutes

Body Barre Based on the Lotte Berk Method, this workout combines stretching, weight bearing, balance positions and strengthening. Postures are dance-derived with the principles of yoga, pilates and free weight work. By adding stretch poses to weight bearing work, longer leaner muscles are the result, along with toning, firming and flatter abs! Great for all levels of fitness! 60 Minutes open / Gentle Yoga This is a class geared to all levels of students. Although it is a gentle yoga class for beginners, all levels reap the benefits of this yoga class. In this class we will increase flexibility, strength and peace of mind. This is a class balanced with asanas (postures) and relaxation. 75 Minutes Power Yoga This class is recommended for intermediate and advanced students. In this class you hold the poses longer, and engage in challenging asanas (postures). Every pose is joined with deep breathing to bring the union of mind and body together. This strong practice is incorporated with relaxation and rejuvenation. A great way to end your evening. 75 Minutes Sunrise Yoga: Basic Give yourself a fresh start to the day with this yoga class where you learn the fundamentals of Yoga; deep stretches, proper breathing techniques, the principles that help you get better at the poses and bring flexibility to your body. You leave the class feeling good, energized, peaceful and invigorated, ready to take on the day! Beginner friendly. 60 Minutes DHARMA Yoga It is the path of skillful action. It is the commitment and ability to discern one’s purpose or duty at any given moment, in every situation and in one’s life journey. This class gives us clarity to make skillful choices by living mindfully. Yoga for flexibility Everyone should stretch regularly as part of a general fitness

regime. This class will help you become more supple and flexible, which in turn will help in preventing sports injuries. It will balance both your mind and body. All abilities welcome. 90 Minutes Tai Chi Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi connects the mind and body through graceful movements. This ancient Chinese martial art helps relieve physical stress on the body with relaxation and coordination exercises. 60 Minutes Hatha Yoga This class consists of classic yoga poses meant to increase range of motion by strengthening the muscles of the body and building core strength along with breath work. 60 Minutes fit for life This class provides active older adults a variety of exercises designed to support overall health while increasing range of movement and flexibility. Handheld weights and stability balls offer resistance, while chairs can be used to provide support. 45 Minutes

STUDIO CYCLING Studio cycling is a group indoor cycling class designed for all levels of fitness and ability. Whether you are a beginner, or a skilled athlete, each student controls their own level of intensity during this high-energy workout. Each class builds strength, stamina, and burns major calories. Music energizes the rider, while the instructor rides them through the different training zones of endurance, strength, interval, race day and recovery. 60 Minutes INTERVAL CYCLING Indoor cycling class that focuses high intensity intravals.

WATER EXERCISE CLASSES AQUACISE Take your body into high gear with a high intensity workout designed to burn calories and make you sweat through water sports drills and directional changes. 60 Minutes AQUA DEEP WATER RUNNING Deep water running equals a high intensity workout.  Designed to build endurance and burn lots of calories while keeping it gentle on the joints and muscles. This class includes a warm up, stretching and an excellent aerobic workout.   60 Minutes AQUA Senior Open Swim Enjoy a dip in the pool at a time designated for our senior members. Please check the pool schedule for dates and times. AQUA SHALLOW WATER WALKING This class is held in the shallow end, will work endurance, toning, strength training, flexibility and range of motion. Water walking shoes are recommended. Marlins Master Swim The Marlins Masters Swim Program is a year-round adult program that services the needs of all masters swimmers. There are three progressive levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. This program is ideally suited for first time masters swimmers, former competitive swimmers, and fitness enthusiasts with a passion for swimming. Prenatal water exercise This popular water class is just what you need to promote a healthy pregnancy. The supportive environment of the water will allow you to improve your endurance level and muscle strength as well as safely stretching those strained pelvic ligaments and muscles.

YOUTH FITNESS ® KIDS ZUBaMATONIC Crank up the jams, shake, wiggle and have a blast with friends. Zumbatomic classes are rockin’, high-energy fitnessparties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. Let’s give families a great reason to head to the gym-for themselves, for their kids, for a totally fun family experience! Teen Boxing We’re kicking it old-school! Come join us for Authentic Boxing at the Y, courtesy of Gold Gloves Contender Jonathan Edmund! Grab your gloves and come master an array of boxing techniques: cardio conditioning, hand-eye coordination, muscle toning, balance and footwork, discipline and mentle toughness and self-confidence. Parents, this is a safe and controlled environment where there is no sparing between participants. Teen spin This ‘ain’t your Mama’s spin class! This fast and fun class will be 45 minutes of music YOU love (and your parents probably don’t). Get a great cardiovascular workout with your friends and have lots of fun at the same time. Chunky sneakers work, but cycling shoes are best. Running /exercise shorts work, but cycling shorts are better. Don’t forget to bring some water! Friday Morning Playgroup Join us every Friday morning for a fun-filled hour of climbing, swinging and rolling through our tumbling course, specially designed for little ones. Parents, enjoy an active morning bonding with your child in a safe and secure environment, all while making new friends at the Y! Don’t miss out!

PAID FOR YOUTH CLASSES FENCING Join the YMCA of Greenwich Fencing Club and learn the joys and benefits of fencing. Head Coach Slava Grigoriev, a twotime Olympian, and his team of former Olympians and highly recognized top-world coaches, are all dedicated to helping their students. Gain self-confidence, coordination, focus and precision as well as developing a winning attitudes through good sportsmanship. We offer both Private, Semi-Private and Group Sessions. TAE KWON DO Tae Kwon Do will assist participants in gaining flexibility, strength and skill, while incorporating discipline and control into the workout through martial arts training. Musical Munchkins Musical Munchkins was started in 1982 and has received high acclaim ever since, delighting toddlers and preschoolers as they explore their natural musical abilities. Individual personalities shine out in this awesome class! Through the use of various instruments children will learn how to make “soft” and “loud” sounds, and when to play “fast” or “slow”. They will start to play together as a group and learn how a song can guide them through instrument and music play. This unique curriculum grows with your child and changes every season. Parent/Caregiver Participation is required.
