The main designed strategies are utilized as many of the existing cellular rooms (Highlighted in Yellow) as possible which fitted the requirement mix and sizes of cellular rooms. Also, we reduced the size of offices from 4x3m (12sqft) in the strategic review space schedule to 3x3m (9sqft). This is because the 4x3m didn’t work with the width of the building floor plates and created more column clashes, where the 3x3m is much more efficient for this building.

This project located at Park House, Finsbury Circus, London. Previously Bloomberg headquarters of London. It is a feasibility studies on the 7 years projection and we have also rationalized the test fit across the three floors in terms of cellular spaces with the desk numbers being the key driver.

STORE FRONT - ALTERNATIVE OPTION

RETAIL PROJECT LONDON, U.K. [ 2018 | Practice Project ] - PLANNING APPLICATION & EUROPE PROTOTYPE GROUND FLOOR

A Planning Application for a Gym located in West London. New York-based Client which already has a successful business model and they are looking to expand across the Atlantic.

STORE FRONT

The Gym is in a basement of an existing fashion retail store. The entrance of the gym is on the side street which linking the street level and the basement with a grand industry looking stair. However, due to its listed heritage building status. The proposed facade design for the entrance should have minimal impact on its existing building fabric. Besides the planning application, I worked on the prototype for their future Gym branches in Europe by referencing from their current US prototype. BASEMENT FLOOR

LEWIS PR, SINGAPORE

Site Analysis

[ 2014 | Practice | Completed Project ]

81 Southbridge Road, Singapore 5,650 sqft shophouse building at central business district area. • •

Excellent location, one or two blocks from 3 trainlines and two bus arteries. Large unique space with ‘wow’ factor will create an impact on clients, prospects, employees and candidates, it is space that people will talk/tweet about and remember it is not just another office building. Excellent space for small and medium sized events, allowing client to host more at low cost.

Company Profile Globle communication agency specializing in digital PR, online PR, technology PR and consumer PR. Their foundation in creativity and storytelling remains at the heart of the company. Offices are located at America, APAC, Europe and U.K.

Design Brief This office for a PR communication agency firm occupies a four-storey shophouse building in the central business district area of Singapore. The shophouse’s existing concrete shell and wood flooring were stripped clean and left exposed. The new Lewis PR office is about functionality and flexibility in the personal workspace, and choice and diversity in the community areas, such as meeting room, enclosed phone booth, open discussion bench. The interior signals playfulness and the enjoyment of being in your place. It also reflects the genuinely cheerful and friendly spirit the company radiates. The graphic wall and door coverings area custom-made photographs of reality - a kind of meta-concept where nothing is what it seems to be, quite like the digital world itself where nothing is ‘for real’ but exists because it depicts the real world. Creating an environment that holistically supports the staffs in their work and well-being.

Course Description

ROBOTIC FABRICATION - AA HOOKE PARK [ 2017 | Academic Project ]

Programme Head Emmanuel Vercruysse Course Tutors Zachary Molicca

Robotic Fabrications is a hands-on and experimental workshop held in the forest out at the AA’s satellite campus Hooke Park in Dorset. Merging expert knowledge of timber construction with cutting-edge robotic fabrication technologies 17 of us explore the creative potential of prototyping complex and large-scale timber structures with digital tools resulting in the construction of the roof structure for the foundry building for the AA Hooke Park Campus. Our weapon of choice - the band saw – gain an augmented level of prevision and control when wielded by the large KUKA KR150 robot. Through rigorous physical testing, we prototype connection details utilising the extraordinary precision and flexibility of multi-axis robotic machining. We investigate both ancient and contemporary crafts and techniques to inform our “Band-Saw Manoeuvres”. These principles undergo a digital interpretation and whilst preserving the poetry, ritual and sensitivity, get translated into a highly choreographed movement pattern or toolpath for the robot. The ambition of the course is twofold; firstly we want to provide a pro-active introduction to the exciting world of robotics. Secondly the strategies for fabrication will be based upon the ancient traditions of Japanese joinery. We focus on translating this dexterous craft full of poetry and skill into a movement pattern and choreography for the robot. We also engage with advanced 3D Scanning Technologies that inform and steer our design parameters. All this lead to the on-site fabrication and assembly of a prototype roof structure for the foundry building at Hooke Park in Dorset.

Focusing on contemporary art painting, it is an immersive experience engaging your sense of sight, hearing and touch. It takes you through an experimental, interactive journey that heightens the appreciation of the exhibited artworks as well as the building itself. A place that creates memories between you and artworks.

Activity Level ( 1st Level ) A space for visitors to interact with artworks.

Touch Level ( Piazza Level / Entrance Level ) Digital artworks interaction area.
