will be integral in creating an earnest relationship between culture and everyday life. A mixed-use 103m (337 ft) tall high-rise civic cultural center containing 3,000m2 sports facility, 26,000m2 cultural center, 22,000m2 theaters (900 and 600 seat), 4,800m2 offices, 2550m2 kindergarten, 5000m2

[Project Summary] “Urban Frame” captures a snapshot of daily life, framing a place of social Interaction with the introduction of open, green public spaces into the Community. Avoiding the creation of an oversized landmark without any Relationship or sensitivity for its surroundings, the Urban Frame differentiates itself from the commercial podium & office tower typology of its surroundings with its gentler and more thoughtful massing composition. Connectivity is provided throughout the site and its surrounding context, with importance placed on pedestrian mobility at the neighborhood scale. This is emphasized by a diversity in outdoor space, which upon integration into this urban context and its forming cultural institutions,

[Project Summary]

Envisioned for Sarasota Bay, Florida, where hot sun and intense lightning storms are commonplace, the conceptual pavilion features a huge, spiraling, gas-filled structure in the center, made from a flexible, conductive mesh material.

625 residential units in twin towers 26 and 20 stories in height. Drawing inspiration from the peony flower, a traditional floral symbol for China, this scheme’s pair of irregular and organic housing towers appear to bloom from their surroundings. As its pleated form twists and angles into shape, these towers create the impression not of a static object but instead an organic one that is alive and moving.

The top of this structure features a ring of solar panels to capture energy from the sun, as well as an array of lightning rods. The funnel-like pavilion inflates when a storm approaches, rising up to attract lightning strikes, which it directs to the electrical substation

[Project Summary] The project locates on the Broadway, downtown Los Angeles. As an infill site, the number of public spaces and natural lighting conditions becomes the two relatively lacking defects waiting to be improved. In our proposal, we tried to create open space in the vertical direction through the method of levitation. Along with Introduce a certain number of public programs, which Inject a new vitality into business schools that focus on social engagement and communication.

The project locates in Hangzhou, China, and the project site adjacent to the Intercity Highway. The project not only serves as the primary public physical exercise place for residents of the new urban area. It is also the gateway and business card of the city. In our proposal, we are using the floating belt as a concept to emphasize the feeling of light and dynamic. Meanwhile, the color gradient facade gives pedestrians a unique visual effect, especially for people who are in high-speed transit.

Due to the population and traffic pressure, the government intending to create an urban sub-center on the south side of the city to alleviate those issues in downtown Dalian. The project base has a radial relationship with the main road. The connection becomes the main issue. In our proposal, we introduce five links on a different scale, with various programs and characteristics.

04 Pretty Box

Civic Center in Sydney Project Type: Academic Project Site: Sydney, Australia December 2017

[Role] Drafting, Digital Modeling, Presentation Drawing, Presentation, Coordination, Model Making [Project Summary] The project is an architectural experiment that focuses on form development, Treating as a box, simulates the movements, and functions of the box, such as operability, thickness, and deformation. We try to find our ways to form building masses by simulating those actions that a table will do. Starting from the simple box, I unrolled it into a 2D face. Then, I did a rotation on the folding line and applied certain patterns on to the 2D surfaces. The patterns are, to some degree, follow the ‘new folding line.’

At last, we fold back the surfaces according to the new folding line, to get the ‘new box.’ Certain space and patterns were generate when we do that. After the final evaluation of the space and pattern, we decide what role these boxes will ultimately play in the site.
