C 29                  C  23                              C  23                                  C  70                            C  46                                     M  100                M  100                      M  76                                M  44                          M  12   Y  92                  Y  85                                Y  51                                  Y  96                              Y  74   K  35                K  26                                K  5                                      K  38                            K  0     Color  harmony:  Complementary  Harmony     Colors  I  choose  are  from  the  two  main  colors  on  Cherry  red  and  green.     Typefaces  I  choose  are  Bookman  Old  Style  as  head1,  PT  Serif  as  head  2, 3  and  paragraph  text.     Bookman  Old  Style  and  PT  Serif  are  both  Serif  fonts,  so  they  make  my  works’  heads  and  paragraphs   harmonious  in  font  style.  The  reason  I  use  Serif  is  that  it  is  easier  to  read  than  Sans  Serif  and  Script.  (According   to  some  studies,  sans  serif  fonts  created  difficulDes  for  readers  that  impaired  comprehension.)  The  color  I   used  for  typefaces  are  the  darkest  red  and  green  in  my  paleFe  since  they  are  outstanding  and  clear  based  on   my  light-­‐colored  background.   My  design  process  is  as  follows:  draw  a  sketch,  find  a  main  fruit  picture,  get  its  harmonious  color  paleFe,   decide  typefaces,  decide  sizes  of  each  head  and  text,  add  meaningful  text,  try  font  colors  from  the  paleFe,   add  charts  using  paleFe  colors,  search  another  picture,  change  its  brightness  and  saturaDon  to  accord  with   color  paleFe,  cite  sources,  manage  the  layout  using  grids,  add  details  like  shadow,  refine  some  minutes,  finish   it.  The  things  I  focused  on  is  color  choosing  and  balanced  layout.  I  choose  natural  red  and  green  color  from   cherry  and  then  applied  them  to  graphs,  texts  and  charts.  So  people  seeing  my  work  feel  comfortable  in  color.   I  also  aligned  every  part  in  my  work  to  balance  the  layout.  So  people  feel  my  work  is  professional,  compact   and  well-­‐balanced.

1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup margarine, softened 1/4 cup sugar 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese 1 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup heavy cream, whipped 1 (12.5 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Mix together graham cracker crumbs, margarine, and sugar in a bowl until well incorporated and crumbly. Press into a pie plate, going up the sides as much as possible. Beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth and spreadable. Whisk whipped cream into cream cheese mixture until smooth. Pour cream cheese into prepared crust. Smooth the top with a spatula, and refrigerate until firm, about 2 to 3 hours. Spread the cherry pie filling over the top, and refrigerate until serving.
