e nuevo llega el otoño. Siempre promesa de luces singulares y de vivos colores. Del mismo modo la actividad digital que gira entorno a esta actividad se acelera tras la calma veraniega. Además, como si de un punto de inflexión se tratara dos de los concursos de fotografía de naturaleza más importantes del país echan a andar en estas fechas. Nuestra pantalla se llena de nuevas imágenes que disfrutar. Vemos los últimos trabajos de los compañeros de afición, descubrimos nuevos lugares, encuadres y visiones. Mucha gente piensa que este bombardeo de imágenes solo consigue que nos copiemos unos a otros y que al final todos hagamos siempre las mismas fotos. Sin duda esto se da en muchos casos, y es un riesgo real. Yo prefiero pensar que el ver y disfrutar del trabajo de los demás nos inspirará a buscar nuestras propias fotos. Que si vemos una foto de un lugar cuando lleguemos allí intentaremos buscar “nuestra” foto. Que si alguien utiliza una técnica “original” la valoraremos y buscaremos la manera de usarla para encontrar algo nuevo.

utumn is here again. With its continued promise of unique light and vivid colours. Furthermore, online activity on photography picks up again after the summer break. In addition, at this turning point in the year, two of the country’s most important nature photography competitions kick off around this time. Our screens are full of new images to enjoy. We can view the latest work by our fellow enthusiasts; we discover new places, new locations and points of view. Many people believe that this deluge of images only serves to encourage us to copy each other and for all of our photographs to be similar. This is no doubt the case sometimes and is a real risk. I prefer to think that viewing and enjoying other people’s work serves to inspire us to search for our own personal styles. If we see a photograph of a given location, when we go there it should inspire us to find “our own” photograph. If someone uses an original and new technique, we should evaluate it and find the way to use it originally.
