The greatest feature of this project is the construction method. Different from conventional concrete construction, 3d print undoubtedly have a very big advantage on the curved surface generation. After analyzing the traditional curved surface construction methods, we made a further step on the existing

forms. Not only making use of the advantages of 3d printing, but also keep it similar to the traditional architectural forms, so that people will not fell unacceptable.

BETTER WAY OF LIVING FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW

The layout of the building mainly based on the terrain, and expanded along both side of the road. According to the needs of the owners, these palaces are divided into two main functional areas: Living and working. Then, we

combined classic California case study architecture spaces with our curved form, to make this building functions in the traditional way.

This design starts from combining with the terrain, taking two floors along the hill, and expansing around the middle of the road. The roof was raised to eliminate the feeling of heavy concrete. On the post-processing of the rendering, thinking about that the new material maight be difficult to accept by some customers, we made it like nostalgic style renderings.

Introduction With the development of the portable devices and the network, people tend to prefer watching movies whenever and wherever possible. Compared to watch the film in the cinema, independent show began to pop up. As designing the Film cultural industry park, we should encourage the new froms, giving the the people who brings film industry with new vitality more help. Therefore, places for independent film show were added in this design and the leisure place also provides a display of movie. Rapid adoption and leisure places were combined to create a business atmosphere. Different places in order to better interpret the functional requirements of the industrial park.

The site is located in the Jiedaokou business center, with Wuhan University campus on the south and facing Xiongchu Avenue on the west. Accroding to the building orientation sequence, the site happened to be right in theintersection of the mechanism of north and south. This two direction formed an angle about 30 degrees. Consequently, this design attempts to form a combination of these two mechanisms unite so that the conflict can be resolved. On the other hand, the openning of the site is located in the middle of the street, which breaks a continuous sequence of commercial

atmosphere. Meanwhile, according to the mission statement, the average storey of the industrial park is 1-2 floors, which will be far lower than the story of the surrounding buildings. Thus, in this design, the industrial park entrance is designed as a relaxation area, so that people from continuous business activities can spun off temporarily, and relieve their fatigue.

Introduction This is a design of a large commercial and residential complex located between the Green hill in the campus and Main Street of the city. For its unique geographical environment, the design seeks to use ramps and indented green platform to extend the Greenland to the inside of the building, and further spread to the city environment. The complex is formed by two towers, which appeared like two "mountains". Two towers were placed with the function of hotel rooms and offices. Podium set up shopping malls, convention centers and public recreation space. Interpenetration between these spaces and links, not only conducive to the communication, but also help for the fire evacuation.

Base located at the crossroads of the city center area. On it's back there is the green mountain of the campus, and all of other directions are in the busy city atmosphere. In this design, I hope to have all the function of an urban complex, at the same time, I want to introduce the green mountain environment into the building. So that people can relieve their stress in the stressful city life. Which also providing a better environment for offices and accommodations. The functional requirements of the building is mainly divided into three parts: hotel, conference center and business district.

Green communication platform A r i s e a n d g r e e n i n g t h e n o i s y 1 s t f l o o r, u s e i t a s a communication platform. which can provide additional space for outdoor meeting area.

The building is located between the city's main street and green spaces in the school, then how to use the good green landscape, also to prevent contamination of the city into the green environment? This is the most important issue in the design.

Extend

The green hill in the south suggest to the meaning of "mountains". Extend the mountain range, we get two peaks, and then cut it with the control line of the site, there is the volume modeling of the building. Control the curve of the "mountain" to open the "valley" toward the green campus, steep "cliff" facing the city streets, in order to get the sight of good green landscape, and also to prevent the contamination of the city into the green environment.

The Building contains complex functional form, divided into two parts, academic and commercial, on the whole. Requirements based on the mission statement, its specific distribution is as follows:

Introduction Throughout its history, the Yang Shu Pu Electric Power Plant has provided power services, which have been vital to the economic growth and success of the City of Shanghai. Today, according to the requirements of owners, it is prepared to be transformed into a Creative Industry Park. The 213 Mu power plant site, will now become a strategic showcase of sustainable development through re-purposing and responsible use of the land along the shores of Shanghai Huang Pu River. This is one of the projects I have participated in when working as an assistant architect. In this project, DLR Group provided the upper plan and our company charges a specific part of the design. What I am doing is historic building data measurement and modeling, design of the commercial Street and Tower Feasibility Study.

From 1929 onwards, Yangshupu power station has made tremendous contributions on the development of Shanghai. For a long period of time, its power generation capacity was most great in China, and also a leader in the world. During nearly a hundred years of time, Yangshupu power stations witnessed China's development, and in a series of major historical events it also played an important role: once was occupied by Japan, after the liberation it was part destroyed by Taiwan as their primary target, and so on ... Today, due to energy reform Yangshupu gradually fade into history, but his humanistic values did not disappear. Therefore, in Yangshupu

plant transformation is not just keep the building materials, and more importantly, as a continuation of history exist. So, in this project, what matters is how to continue its humanistic spirit.

overall plan

The key master planning criteria is to integrate the redevelopment with the current municipal plan for vehicular traffic circulation through the Yang Pu neighborhood. • The proposed ingress and egress are strategically placed to link with the City roads from the north (Gui Yang Road) and the west (An Pu Road). • The placement of 4 development zones compliments the expected flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic to and from the site to facilitates the best use of land in its urban context - between the traffic along the Yang Pu Road and the the Huang Pu River. • The internal vehicular roadway is bent and curved at the two ingress points to mediate drive-through traffic that may adversely impact the safety and cohesiveness of the overall development. • The proposal satisfies the criteria estanblished by city planners – by integrating the adjacent roadways with the redevelopment site.

Base stations located within Yang Shu Pu Electric Power Plant , under the East Bund Riverside development area, south of the Huangpu River, the east side has been built Shanghai International Fashion Center, its future commercial development has an important influence on the base, north of the old-fashioned way multilayer Yang Shu Pu living space. The site occupies an area of 141,984.00 square meters, the area along the quay length of about 320 meters. It also has a moderate distance to the nearby bussiness district, and just within the Industrial Park Development Zone along the sequence.

Main Task: As the area closest to the east industrial park, the most important task of buildings in our design range is to use its geographic adventage to attract the consumers, in order to achieve business goals.

Function zoning arrangement

Commercial street facade design Design of the entrance commercial faรงade is part of my work, the most important part of the renovation is to coordination with the original building and also be attractive. For different commercial form, I have made different projects: The first projects applies for boutique commercial facades, windows using Mondrian-style split and the leading to the museum entrance is guiding by a promenade. The second projects is for open commercial facades, windows using regular segmentation, and the leading to the museum entrance marked with arches.

Sightseeing Tower Design Sightseeing Tower is the symbol of the entire complex. It made use of the excellent location and rugged old structure of the chimney. However, the inner space of the tower space cannot meet the demand of the traffic. So the traffic space was put outside of the tower to become part of the tourism system.

In order to meet the functional requirements as power stations, three sections of buildings are closed to each other, resulting in a lighting problem. To solve this problem, we stretch parts of the buildings on either side to the intermediate, so that these building will be opened for light. At the same time, the effective use of the high-level space of the large-span factory can creat a unique visual effect.

In the remodeling of historic buildings, you can "repair as the old", which means completely restored to its historical appearance, or you can create a comprehensive type, make it as a new building. However, the former is too conservative, the old form is unable to meet existing needs; the latter are too radical, the new building will lack history interdependence and become a "rootless tree".

The program will open the center of the building, effectively improve the lighting area, while the entire complex as a clearinghouse: Young plant in the business district and adjacent to the business district and flow in the intersection here, the project in the various functional areas of abortion in this at the intersection. This will be dispersed throughout the base of each function together. When functional arrangement, considering the spatial shape of each region, in order to adapt the business model arrangements,

pay attention to the size of the space combined.

Interior Reconstruction Analysis:

Trying to retain some of the existing plant large space, but the space is too monotonous, lack of business climate, and space utilization is too low. Therefore, the original steam turbine platform to be deformed to break

the traditional triangular elements for restructuring, in the formation of a rich interior space, but will be used to plant the interior space to the maximum extent.

The facade of the building have a historic beauty, so we retained most of the facade as the original form. But the problem is that it's no so attractive as a commercial building. Therefore, part of the facade is covered with glasses, breaking the monotony sequence of the original atmosphere. In addition, the construction of pipelines and other external components have an industrial feelling, so we keep all of them.

Introduction Hyperloop is a unique transportation technology based on centuries-old pneumatic tube principles. This is my work in the spring quarter. In this quarter, our mian task is to design proposals for the Hyperloop System. By extacting program data from the previous quarters, we are trying to create architecturally significant designs for the complex as a whole. In our scenario, based on geographic location and urban development form the base of the analysis, with emphasis on promoting the role of the station for regional economic development. Meanwhile hyperloop as a new means of transport, their usage requirements of the building in the form of the existing building will be very different form. Therefore, in this design, trying to find the best match of this architectural form of transportation, but it and passenger activities closely together.

Before the group design, we chose cartraige as the way of boarding. In this manner, campusle consists of two parts: the shell and independence seat(which we called POD). In hyperloop workflow, after arriving, shell always remain in the vacuum environment. Independent seats send passengers to the platform. Subsequently, after the departure passengers boarded on independent seat, they returned to the shell, and then campusle departures. In the subsequent station design, we want to take advantage of this feature. In this scenario, we have seen some merit of the independent seats: After dispersed, the seats require a smaller turning radius; the passengers can aboard more freely. Meanwhile, the seats can send different passenger to different places.

The figure above shows the flow inside the station. In last semester's design, we try to design the station into a most compact form, because the station is located near the center city. Therefore, in this semester, compared to other groups, our Hyperloop system only need to take up a small area of the entire site. So how to use the rest area? We want to make the station to meet the transportation requirements, at the same time, utilization the characteristics of the station, to solve some local problems. When analysising of the site, we learned that the base located between downtown LA and Boyle Heights. Interestingly, this place is close to the heart of the city, but it is very poor. downtown's land and PROPOSAL

human resources are already saturated, but just across the river, boyle heights is rich of land and human resources. So we have every reason to believe that, in 10 years, when hyperloop is completed, the city center is very likely to expansion towards boyle heights, and our site will be a great commercial area.

The design of the form starting from the way tubes get into the site. According to preliminary analysis, the best way of the tubes to enter is in the middle of the base, which dividing the site into two parts. Depending on the requirements of the station, the two parts are used as depar ture and arrival areas. Then according to the different needs of these two par ts, we put different commercial facilities in them. YPERLOOP Hyperloop Studio - Suprastudio
