It is clear to say that Tokyo is a clash, a slap in your face. Tokyo has always been the future planet of my childhood, the place 10 years ahead.
There are many new surprising buildings and a walk in Akihabara makes you feel like you are in the future. But in Tokyo there is something in the air that’s really 80’s, it looks like the animation I was watching during my childhood. Tokyo is more modern than really contemporary. Maybe it is the vintage cabbies, the electronic beige toilet or that vending machine in the street...
All along Tokyo Metro stations, I have dived into that ambiance and been flooded by the lights, the neon, the billboards, the massive screens, it maked my photography pop-up as well and become over-technicolor.
