Izaskun: Hello, Tithi. How would you introduce yourself to someone who knows nothing about you? Tithi:I’m a designer/thinker who telling my thought through the objects. I: We can appreciate that the pieces you design are very subtle. The design is not impossed to oneself and appears in his or her daily life as an object which mediates between oneself and the world around, creating a funny interaction. I can see a desire or need to give the world a touch of fun. What do you think about it? T:I didn’t really mean to make it fun at the first place, but maybe it’s part of who I am, so I just being honest with it.

I: Why did you decided to become a designer? And why did you choose to design objects? T:Designer is a way to communicate with people same as Writer, Artist, Musician which I’m also interested in all those works as well. I design objects because it can reach people, they can touch, feel, can consume them. And all objects have their own story, they are all can talk, they should have reason to exist or not to, cultural, personal preference, material, etc.

I: The objects you design submerge in the daily thing, and it's so hard to make a difference between the moment when you create and the moment when you live, and to tell how you get to the ideas to design an object. What is your working process like? From the idea to the project. I think it's very interesting the question about not knowing when are you designing the daily thing every day at home, in the street or in a bar and when are you living inside the daily thing without being a constant observer. T:I loved to go shopping with my mum, go on holiday with my dad, watch TV with my brother, have a laugh with my friends, walk alone on the very crowed street, read leaflet and free newspaper on the tube(under ground) or even talk to stranger who sitting next to me sometimes. So I can say every minute in my life is working or I can say every min of observing is also relaxing. After all I’ll think about what’ve seen, and try to look at it from the distance and see the system of it.

I: Which designers, artists or people have had a direct influence in you or in your work? T:I like a lot of Designers, Artists, Writers but hardly to say about any particular one. I look at them same as I looking at all things in my daily life.

I: What do you want design to give you? T:I do what I like to do and we will see how’s it go.

I: You're trying to solve the matter of feeding, but don't you think that it might be more expensive for people to get your food because they'd have to pay for design too? T:If you meant “my sweets” project, I meant to sell them same price as chocolates bar and lollipop in super market and also make them available right next to normal chocolate bar there. But in order to do that it will need to go into big mass production which basically is nothing that I can do about it.

u. I:Your designs don't seem to be seen daily at the supermarkets, but it wants to call our attention on nutritional disorder. Have you ever thought about taking it to a more conventional space where people daily consume to make more of them get your message? T:You’re right and that is my point, please see above answer. I: Thank you very much Tithi T: Thanks.
