2nd—Cub Cooking It may be cold outside; sub-zero at times, but that doesn't stop Scouting ! After 1st– 3rd—India Training all, it's just another opportunity for adventure and fun with a difference ! Over the last month I've visited two great events around our county - the Viking Camp 9th—10th— Explorers GO day at Bradley Wood and the Brass Monkey Camp at Blackhills. And what great 15th—17th—Explorers Xposure events they were - the roar of Nordic voices, axe throwing, the construction of 24th—Scout Cooking Viking equipment and long boats and survival skills in arctic conditions were just a few of the great activities our young people had the opportunity 20th Explorer Archery / Shooting Comp to experience. So, a BIG thank you to the 21st—St Georges Day Parades teams of adults who left the warmth of their own homes to put on these great events for our young people. February has also seen a great County Cub Awards 4th—Cub Water Day Green Withens Day at Bradley wood attended by many 11th—Monopoly Run young people across our County. Lots of 18th—19th—Scout Water Day Green fun and a great way for our young people Withens to earn their awards. So, again, a BIG thank you to all those involved. As an update, planning is now well underway For further details see the website for our 65th Birthday including our Service of Celebration at Bradford Cathedral in June and the Big Build event later that month. Watch out for more information over the next week or so. If you are looking for something different, watch out for the City of Bradford Gang Show early March when the talent and commitment of both our young people and adult is once more on display ! It is sure to be a great show and a fun night out for all who attend. Good luck to the cast and adults for opening night ! So, all the best for your Scouting in March when the daffodils return with the warm, dry sunny weather you wish !
