At BIG Camp we are holding a small trade exhibition and selling advertising space in the camp program. This is to raise money towards the camp but is also a great advertising opportunity for companies. There will be about 1000 leaders at the camp from groups all over the north of England so the potential market is quite large. We already have a major Scout tent manufacturer and an outdoor retail company on board. If you have any contacts in companies who might be interested please pass their details to Trevor Newman, ACC Event Management (preferably with their consent). WYS on Show As the curtain fell last Saturday night at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, there was nothing but admiration for those who had been involved in this years production of WYS on Show. It was yet another wonderful example of the talent and commitment of both our young people and our adult volunteers. A great example of what can be achieved when our Scouting family comes together. From music to comedy, drama to dance, the show had something for absolutely everybody. And when you look at the talent of our young people in the cast and you remember that they will be just part of the future of Scouting in our County, you realise just how bright our future is going to be. I would also like to take the opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers; families and friends, who supported the show in so many ways. Whether you watched, played, carried, organised or created, without those people, the show could not have happened. So, thank you to all those people who worked so hard behind the scenes or supported the show in the audience. And finally, as we all know, although events such as WYS On Show are always a team effort, there is always somebody who leads the charge and creates the vision. Without them, things seldom happen. So, I would just like to say a very special thank you to Phil Pearson (and Jenny) on behalf of both our youth and adult members for been the catalyst to the creation of a wonderful show. I look forward to seeing the next one.

Bag a bargain!
Support the adventure
I have recently started making bean bags to order in various different shapes and sizes, advertising via Facebook and my new website www.bagofbeans.co.uk and have had a good take up. I have also had enquiries from a local scout group regarding throwing bean bags, as they are quite expensive through other sources. I have priced these up and are now making them available at £1.00 per bean bag and are available in various colours. I have made these available to my own district and am now opening up the opportunity to purchase them to the County. If anyone is interested in purchasing them or would like any further information then please get in touch with me on firstname.lastname@example.org or ring me on 0771 938 9868
In August 2012, I will be undertaking a 15 day trek up the two highest mountains in Africa, Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro, in order to raise awareness of such a worthy charity. Please dig deep and support me. This expedition will involve me under-taking many new, demanding, but of course amazing experiences; this includes trekking in the freezing conditions of -15°c to -20°c, accompanied by breath taking views, a stunning variety of wildlife and the rest of my team I'm yet to meet. http://www.justgiving.com/Fi-J-Taylor Fi Taylor Keighley District
