OUT OF SYNC! WYSMAIL is edited as a fortnightly newsletter for West Yorkshire Scouts. For those of you who watch your inbox in anticipation of the next issue (and I’m sure that are some who do this) then an extra publication will be a special treat! There are a number of items that I’ve received by email which warrants a shorter issue being edited. If you have submitted material (or have ongoing items) which don’t appear then panic not – next weekend will return to the normal version. Please drop me and email with items consideration (

COUNTY ITEMS New appointment announcement I am delighted to announce the appointment of Graham Earnshaw as the new District Commissioner for Huddersfield North. I am sure many of you know Graham, a highly experienced and talented Scouter in our County. For many years, Graham has worked in a number of different roles in the County and has most recently led the highly successful Project Nepal initiative undertaking valuable work both here in the UK and overseas.

instrumental in taking Huddersfield North forward over future years. In taking the role, Graham will now step down from his role as Executive Director of Bradley Woods where he has provided leadership to both paid staff and volunteers over the past seven years. I take this opportunity to thank Graham on behalf of our County for the contribution, energy and commitment he has given to the role. I need say little more - the result of his work is there for all to see. Bradley Woods is not only a wonderful asset for our membership of today but also a wonderful legacy to both our youth and adult membership of tomorrow. Graham will not be going very far in the short term. He will continue to support the County during a transitional period over the next couple of months until a new director or a change in the management structure is announced. Graham will work with Robert Teasdale; our County Chairman, to complete that transition. I am sure you will all join with me in congratulating Graham on his new appointment and support him in his new role. I look forward to working with Graham over future years and wish him well for the future. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Steven Ainley for his work as Acting District Commissioner over recent months. In particular, Steven's commitment to Scouting in Huddersfield North and the stability he has brought to the district during this transitional period. I wish Steven every success in his continued role as District Explorer Scout Commissioner. In Scouting, Mark County Commissioner

Graham will bring experience, talent and commitment to the role, qualities which will be
