Bike Skills 101 for Youth

These programs are designed to introduce young people to the sport of mountain biking. Professionally trained coaches introduce and demonstrate the fundamentals, such as balancing on the bike, body position, braking and gearing, direction control, climbing and descending, cornering and much more. If you enjoy the outdoors, being physically active, and learning new skills then this program will be a good fit for you. Please note, a mountain bike with at least 20 inch wheels is recommended, and should be in good working order. See pages 13 & 15 for course information. These affordable programs made possible by the CRD People Power Program, in partnership with the Victoria Foundation and Traffic Safety Commission.
