6-man Continued from Page 6 Friday. The Bulldogs are smarting after Briggsdale saddled them with their first loss of the season. Back in the rankings at #7 this week is Bethune. The Bobcats were ranked the first two weeks of the season, but back-to-back losses against Hi-Plains and Arickaree knocked them out. They earned their way back into the poll with a 36-26 win last Saturday over previously unbeaten and eighth-ranked Hanover. Monte Gutowski's Bobcats trailed 12-0 late in the first quarter but then scored the next 20 points. Hanover had a chance to break a 20-all tie right before halftime, but the Hornets were stopped twice on run plays inside the Bethune one-yard line. The Bobcats rode that momentum in the second half to get
the lead and pull off the upset. Justin Seamans was huge for Bethune in the contest, scoring three times on the ground, including a 35-yarder where it looked like he would be dropped for a loss, but he lowered his shoulder and ran over a defender to find open pasture. The Bobcats, who's first four games were all in the Central Division, will travel to Weldon Valley on Saturday for their second straight out of the division
