Bag, mulch or discharge

When choosing a new mower, one of the questions to ask yourself is, do you want the option to bag, mulch or discharge the clippings? There are benefits to each, which makes 3-in-1 machines, which have the capability to do all of these, a great choice. With a 3-in-1 mower, by removing the collection bag, the cuttings can be released through the back of the mower. The rear discharge option is perfect to use if the grass is damp, as it prevents it from clogging up the machine. Not only that, but, if mown regularly, a rear discharge model will provide a wide and even dispersal of grass clippings behind the mower in a very thin, fine layer. This is preferable to side discharge, where you would have to go over the lawn with a rake after mowing to collect the rows of cuttings created. The finish on the lawn is attractive, and the nutrients from the cuttings are fed back into it, making it healthier with every cut. The LR2 NR76 mini-rider from Cub Cadet is a perfect machine for the job. It is part of the new ‘entry level’ Force Series, consisting of products for gardeners who are looking for power, performance, durability and who appreciate powerful machinery at an affordable price

point. It has a 76cm / 30” cutting width and a cutting height range of 38-95mm though five adjustable deck positions, making it suitable for a variety of lawn cutting requirements. With a convenient turning radius of 46cm / 18”, and large, grass-gentle tyres, this machine will navigate even the trickiest of terrain, without causing any lawn damage. Thanks to the compact design, this Mini-Rider is able to get through typical garden gates with ease and with the easy entry step-through frame design, it is as easy to use as it is manoeuvrable. By removing the grass bag, the rear discharge option also aids this ease of movement around objects. As with all LR2 models, the LR2 NR76 benefits from superior, luxurious hydrostatic transmission, Intelligent Parking Assistance (IPA), and RevTek functionality, enabling mowing in reverse. In addition, the LR2 models all have LED headlights and provide maximum rider comfort with a high backrest seat with cut-away, which allows for better air circulation, and an adjustable steering column for the perfect fit. www.cubcadet.co.uk
