Botany PhD Research Associate/ SRF Jobs at Calcutta University

Department of Botany UNIVERSITY OF CALCUTTA Applications are invited for the NASI Senior Scientist Platinum Jubilee Fellowship sponsored project entitled “Phylogenetic analysis of Indian members of Drimia and allied genera of Scilloideae based on molecular cytogenetic, phytochemical and systematic studies� under Dr. Sumita Jha, NASI Senior Scientist, Department of Botany, University of Calcutta, for the following post: 1. Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellow- One post (temporary and will be terminated at the completion of the project) Eligibility and Qualifications required: For RA: M.Sc. in Botany and Ph.D. with research experience in plant molecular cytogenetics with at least two publications in SCI journal.

For SRF: M.Sc. in Botany and Ph.D. with research experience in plant molecular cytogenetics with at least one publication in SCI journal.

Emoluments: Rs.36,000/- + 30% HRA (RA) / Rs. 28,000/- + 30% HRA (SRF) Upper age limit: 35 years Interested candidates are requested to appear before a selection committee on 30th September, 2019 at 3.00 p.m. in the office of the Head of the Department of Botany, 35 Ballygunge Circular Road, Kolkata 700019 (Ballygaunge Science College), for a walk-in-interview.
