Intas Pharma & TMC Kolkata QC Microbiology & Biobanking Executive Recruitment

Position: Quality Control Microbiologist and Biobanking Executive Last date of Application: 15/6/2021 Tata Medical Center, Kolkata (TMCK) and the Cell & Gene Therapy Division of Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., have come together in an Academic industry collaborative project (called Clarion) to bring cutting edge Cellular Therapies for cancer patients. The National Biopharma Mission and Department of Biotechnology has funded key aspects of the project to enable delivery of CAR-T Cell Therapy to patients with refractory and relapsed Hematological cancers.

In this regard infrastructure, civil, clinical, laboratory and research are being setup at TMCK and are in various phases of execution.

To fulfill the above objectives TMC invites application for the position of: Designation: QC Microbiologist and Biobanking Executive Qualification: M.Sc Microbiology or other M.Sc life-sciences discipline Additional Qualification & experience can also apply Experience 2-3 years’ experience in for QC microbiology (in a cGMP setting preferred).

Experience in conducting perform and review of Specified Microorganism, BET, Sterility and Bioburden test, water testing, EM and good hand on Air sampling, clean room monitoring, media preparation, culture maintenance and identification, growth promotion test, microbial limit test, etc.

Experience in conducting Flowcytometry, etc.

Handling of blood and other specimens from human patient including conducting differential cell count of blood, isolation of blood cells and banking is highly desirable.

Should have experience in performing above mentioned techniques independently along with data analysis and compilation.

Should have experience in training juniors (Trainee Executive/Executive) for these techniques.

Should have appropriate scientific knowledge for Biostatistical tools and analytical techniques, used in cell therapy field and clinical trial.

Experienced in method development and qualification for above mentioned techniques.

Experience in monitoring/overlooking instrument qualification and lab set-up is desirable.

Experience in documentation (Lab notebook, SOPs, MOAs, STPs, DRS etc), following cGMP is must.

Job Summary: -QC personnel will be responsible for assuring quality of the product through all day-to-day operations. He / She will assist the bio-manufacturing plant by evaluating raw materials, other supplies and the finished, packaged product. Isolation and banking of various human cell types from patient derived specimens. Ensure compliance to common Good Manufacturing Practices Primary Duties & Responsibilities: -

Responsible for clean room monitoring and sterility testing of drug substance and products.

Microbial method validations and microbial library maintenance.

-

Responsible for qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, Flowcytometry, of samples with test qualification, validation and cGMP documentation.

-

Responsible for perform Bacterial Endotoxin Test and validation.

-

Maintain discipline and Best Laboratory Practices in Laboratory.

Isolation and banking of the human patient cells/specimens with proper documentation.

Any other job assigned by Lab in charge.

Compensation: 3 to 4.5 lac per annum Joining: In June 2021.
