Position Summary The Senior Consultant collects and analyses the trends in research and industry and makes recommendations based on the findings. The role assists in developing key insights, providing impactful information, and delivers holistic solutions to support data-driven decision-making by the management. The Senior Consultant provides scientific management support by combining relevant scientific expertise related to biopharmaceutical product development with project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities •

Identifying ecosystem and scientific needs, and potential barriers for establishment of facilities set-up for accelerating product development of vaccines and bio-therapeutics in country through gap analysis Assist in identifying possible causes and dependencies through assimilating and consolidating expert views through consultations and surveys, and literature review Analyse and interpret data collected to generate timely, accurate and actionable insights for solution mapping Support in devising strategy to address gaps identified and support partners in its implementation.

Draft research reports, slide-decks etc., as required.

Assist project teams in writing project proposals and concept notes.

Keep Product Development Unit suitably updated on relevant news, trends and patterns in the field of product development Build internal knowledge and conceptual understanding of core concepts of biopharmaceutical development.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the Manager.

Education and Work Experience: •

Ph.D. in Immunology / Biological Sciences /Biochemistry with 3-4 years of experience or Masters in Immunology / Biological Sciences /Biochemistry with 5-6 years of experience is required.

Master of Business Administration is desirable.

Work experience in new product development (vaccines or biologics) in pharma industry, or life science consulting is desirable.

Qualifications and Skills: • Deep understanding of vaccine and/or biologics product value pathway, specifically on early R&D, translational research, preclinical research, cell line and process development, CMC pathway, Phase 1/2 clinical trials is required • Demonstrated knowledge of biopharmaceutical sector and product development concepts and terminology are required.

• Strong ability to analyse and interpret technical (product development R&D) journals, business periodicals, government regulations, is required.

• Excellent verbal and writing skills are required.

• Strong creative presentation making skills including good data visualization skills are required.

• Proficiency in working with MS Office suite is required.

• A self-starter with the ability to deliver under pressure, and meet deadlines effectively is required.

• Business acumen - strategy formulation and P&L understanding/financial data comprehension & inference development is desirable.
