The proposed project will provide opportunities to develop and learn cellular and molecular techniques to understand COVID pathogenesis. Title of the project: Role of oral microbiome & mucosal immunity in COVID-19 disease: diagnostic and prognostic utility in South Asian populations (MIMSA) Principal Investigator: Dr. K. Priya, Scientist & Head, VHS Laboratory Services, Department of Clinical Research, VHS Hospital, Chennai. Duration of the project: 18 months* Position 1: Project Associate Eligibility: M.Sc/M.Tech Life Sciences degree holders. Experience in molecular biology and microbiology shall add value. Candidates should possess good communication and writing skills. Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 1.07.2021. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be as per Govt. of India norms. Position 2: Laboratory Technician (two positions) Eligibility: B.Sc Life Sciences degree holders or 2-year DMLT diploma holders with two years experience. Experience in molecular biology and microbiology shall add value. Candidates should possess good communication skills and grasping capacity. Age Limit: Not more than 25 years as on 1.07.2021.
