MOLINO TERENZANO FARM Owned by Locatelli family, Turano Lodigiano (Lodi ) – Italy 700 Holstein cows Giovanni Locatelli – “We began using the WMS mating program in 2006 initially because of its convenience, but with time I came to appreciate its technical competence and impartiality. It is a plan which allows you to use bulls from any AI centre and thus I am free to choose any bull. An expert technician comes to the farm every two months to evaluate the cows, and this is also an opportunity to receive first-hand information on second crop bulls and to discuss about each individual animal. This plan is one of the most successful in controlling inbreeding and recessives, analyzing as it does right down to the fourth generation. I have been milking the first calves, offspring of the WMS, for over a year now and I am really satisfied with the results. Our Potter daughter Molino Evelina was shown at the Codogno show and I am extremely pleased with her!
