WELCOME to our quarterly marketplace report It’s hard to believe we are through the second market quarter and already halfway through 2016, but as times change so does the real estate market in Perth. There’s no denying the market has been tough in real estate for both sales and rentals, seeing low housing prices with the apartment boom in full motion and economics affected by the Federal Election. On the bright side, it’s a perfect time for first home buyers to get into the market and for those who wish to upgrade or invest. Buyers are becoming more selective as the Perth metro region had 14,159 properties listed for sale this quarter. From April through to June 574 properties were sold in Scarborough, Doubleview and Woodlands and good listings at the right price are seeing a surge, with houses $800k-1.2m going well in the current market but cheaper units and villas are seeing a struggle.
