hat's right. Actually the name of our company now is "Universal Printing and Manufacturing." And for good reason! As most of you know, with the recent acquisition of a large, local, KC based commercial printer, the Universal you know from the past now has even more options and services to provide you. What other manufacturer in the Charitable Gaming industry has the ability to provide you with not only a "complete" line of paper gaming supplies, from bingo paper to tickets, but all the advertising materials, brochures, business cards, promotional items, or any other printed item you may need to run your business successfully. From concept all the way to fulfillment, Universal Printing and Manufacturing can do it all for you. For information and pricing on any of your commercial printing needs please call Shawn Boyd at 800-821-2724. Or visit us at the Commercial Printing side of our web site at www.jarodo.com.
For all the Pennsylvania Distributors s most of you know, our long time sales rep. Jim Kelly is retiring after 17 long years at Universal. Although he will be missed by all, our newest rep. Kenny Gibson, is already in the saddle traveling with Jim and "learning the ropes." Kenny has been involved in the charitable gaming business for many, many years from running bingo games to working on the distributorship level in sales. He's very knowledgeable in bingo, and we anticipate him being a real asset to Universal. If you haven't seen or spoken to Kenny yet, please take a moment and call him. He is located in the Pittsburg area and I am sure he will be traveling to see you soon. Kenny can be reached at 614-570-1740.

Cup Of Joe
TA B L O I D
ell, it’s been sometime since I’ve written a “Cup of Joe” article, and as you know, it’s also been sometime since you’ve received a Tabloid from Universal! And I can tell you the reason why is that “things are still a-changin’ at Universal!” You probably know by now that Universal is now carrying a line of “Bright White” bingo paper, both in case paper variety and in several popular collations, and the response to date has been dramatic! Customers are glad to know there are other options available in this industry for some product lines, and most of us don’t like having an “800 pound gorilla” on
Rumors are always flying in our industry, especially with all the continuing acquisitions. It seems everyone is buying everyone, so I wanted to put one thing to rest. UNIVERSAL IS NOT FOR SALE! There I said it, once and for all, so rest assured you got it from the horse’s mouth. All of us at Universal are in this industry, however long it may last, for the long haul. After 70 years we must be doing something right? Let’s not forget who the oldest manufacturer is. (I didn’t mean me by the way; I was speaking of the company!) Last, but not least, let me thank all of you for another great year! It’s a pleasure doing business with customers that I can actually call my friends, and I think that is the one big difference between Universal and the competition. At Universal you are treated like a friend because you are one.
their backs when doing business! If you haven’t seen actual samples, or received a catalog yet, don’t hesitate to let us know. You also may have heard that Universal has acquired a commercial printing company in the past year. This will help us to diversify our product lines, and add equipment that allows us to take on projects we wouldn’t have dreamed of in the past. This is another good thing for our customers that may have commercial printing needs in their businesses in addition to their charitable needs. If you didn’t know where to turn previously, then make Universal your one stop shop. Shawn Boyd is your contact at Universal. So for all your printing needs don’t hesitate to give him a call anytime!
We think of our relationships as two way streets, we don’t win if you don’t. Who would you rather do business with? Your friend, Joe Wilner
