The Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) is a New South Wales government mandate focused on reducing energy and water use in new homes. Achieving BASIX compliance is essential for securing Development Application (DA) and Complying Development Certificate (CDC) approvals, as it ensures a baseline of sustainability standards.

At Worthington Homes, we prepare all homes to meet the standard BASIX benchmarks; however, certain designs may require higher BASIX compliance levels due to specific site conditions or design features. In such cases, additional measures may be needed to achieve a compliant outcome, potentially impacting the associated costs. Rest assured, we approach every project with an awareness of these requirements, helping to guide you through the BASIX process as smoothly as possible.
