Monday 1st to Saturday 6th February Evenings at 7.30pm Matinees Wednesday 2pm & Saturday 2.30pm

Direct from the West End, Broadway and 25 countries around the globe comes Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy thriller, The 39 Steps, brilliantly and hilariously recreated as the smash hit Olivier Award Winning Best New Comedy. This blissfully funny show follows the incredible adventures of our handsome hero Richard Hannay, complete with stiff-upper-lip, British gung-ho and pencil moustache as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents, and, of course, devastatingly beautiful women. This wonderfully inventive and gripping comedy thriller features four fearless actors, playing 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun and thrilling action.

Tuesday 9th to Saturday 13th February Evenings at 7.30pm Matinees Wednesday 2pm & Saturday 2.30pm Made famous by the movies starring Michael Caine and more recently Jude Law, Alfie is the brilliant, original stage play about a young man with an overwhelming desire for the ladies. You might say that ‘birds’ are irresistible to him, sort of second nature. There's Ruby - ‘A lust box in beautiful condition’; Clare - ‘You're all lathered in sweat, Alfie’; and Siddie, and Clara, and Annie - but who's counting? Certainly not Alfie. Three in one evening if necessary. And necessary is the right word! Alfie combines great comedy, genuine pathos, and live 60s music, as it tells the story of a cockney ‘Don Juan’ who swaggers and philosophises his way from conquest to conquest, carefully rejecting anyone or anything that might touch him too deeply. From the artistic team that created the hugely acclaimed 2008 production of Oh What A Lovely War comes a major revival of Bill Naughton’s classic comedy drama.

Following the success of The Hollow, The Unexpected Guest, And Then There Were None and Spider’s Web, the Agatha Christie Theatre Company is proud to present the next instalment in the highly acclaimed series, Christie's undisputed masterpiece: Witness for the Prosecution. After huge stage success the play was filmed by Billy Wilder in 1957, starring Tyrone Power (in his last completed film role), Marlene Dietrich and Charles Laughton. It won many awards, including nominations for seven Oscars and was the year's Number One Box Office hit worldwide. Several remakes have followed, most recently starring Diana Rigg, Ralph Richardson and Beau Bridges. Emily French, an elderly woman who recently left her considerable estate to the charming young Leonard, is found dead. Murdered. Though he protests his innocence, Leonard quickly becomes the prime suspect. His plea hinges on his wife’s testimony, until the sudden appearance of a mysterious young woman, bearing an unexpected clue. Will the truth be revealed in time or will Leonard be declared guilty at the hands of the Witness for the Prosecution? In a world where everyone seems to be harbouring a dark secret, this gripping courtroom drama will keep you guessing until the final fatal moment.

Tuesday 2nd to Saturday 6th March Evenings at 7.30pm Matinees Wednesday 2pm & Saturday 2.30pm

Kelly McGillis and Rolf Saxon star in this lavish new production of Terrence McNally’s classic love story, set in 1980s New York. Originally an Off-Broadway hit, the production also spawned a film version starring Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer. Hard-boiled waitress Frankie and cock-sure chef Johnny find themselves in bed together after a first date. Johnny is certain he has found his soul mate, but Frankie is far more cautious and less inclined to jump to conclusions. As the night unfolds, they slowly begin to reveal themselves to each other as they take tentative steps towards the start of a possible relationship in this funny and tender romantic comedy. Kelly McGillis is known for box office film smashes including "Witness" with Harrison Ford, for which she received a golden globe nomination, "The Accused" with Jodie Foster, and of course the biggest box office film of 1986 - "Top Gun" with Tom Cruise. Her many stage appearances include Sir Peter Hall’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Hedda Gabbler” on Broadway. Rolf Saxon’s many films include “Mission : Impossible” and “Entrapment”. His West-End roles include Billy Flynn in ”Chicago”, “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” and “The Seven Year Itch” opposite Darryl Hannah.

Inspired by Jimmy Perry’s own time as a Butlins Redcoat after being de-mobbed from the Army, HI-DE-HI is set in a 1950s Holiday Camp called ‘Maplins’. HI-DE-HI is one of the best remembered TV sitcoms of all time which starred a whole host of much-loved characters during its nine series on the BBC in the 1980s. The stage version has not been seen since it was last in the West End in 1984. This brand new and hilarious production will star BARRY HOWARD & NIKKI KELLY who were in the original 1980s TV sitcom as ‘Barry & Yvonne Stuart-Hargreaves’ and the ever-popular and very funny DAMIAN WILLIAMS, who is the new presenter on Sky One’s ‘Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old?’, as ‘Ted Bovis’.

The dream soon turns into a nightmare, however, as they are attacked by intruders who seem, for some reason, to be only interested in the contents of the deep freezer. Frank and Jenny investigate and the true horror of their situation soon emerges in this taut and exciting, yet often blackly hilarious, horror thriller. ‘Had the audience on the edge of their seats and, on occasion, out of them’ SLEAFORD ADVERTISER ‘A Jolly good, partner-clutching, rib-thumping night out’ DERBYSHIRE TIMES

Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th June Evenings at 7.30pm Matinees Wednesday 2pm & Saturday 2.30pm Ian Dickens Productions is proud to present Inside Job by Brian Clemens with an all-star cast led by Stephen McGann who set female hearts racing as love rat Sean in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. Frank Burnside in The Bill. On the Costa del Sol, a professional safe-cracker enjoys a hedonistic life in the sun, until the stunning Suzy sweeps into his world with an offer he can’t refuse. But what starts out as a simple act of theft, rapidly spirals into an intrigue of diamonds, murder, bluff and double-bluff. ‘The Mousetrap meets Lock Stock in an astonishing plot that twists and turns like a demented snake.’ Three bombs. Three killers. Three motives… only one possible outcome. Deceit and duplicity collide in the most thrilling of thrillers by Brian Clemens, creator of television’s ‘The Avengers’ and ‘The Professionals.’

Glenda and her husband Robert Parry were the archetypal successful couple - him an affluent businessman, her the glam ‘exec’ wife with all the trappings of wealth, until Robert decides to devote his life to God and become a vicar, after being delivered unscathed from an horrendous car crash. Glenda consequently finds herself thrust into a complete transformation, struggling to make ends meet and dealing with her new identity crisis. When Robert leaves for a four-week seminar, Glenda turns to her friends for support, all of whom are in similar financial distress. When a millionaire lottery winner turns up in the village to seek the reverend’s help in exorcising his haunted manor house, he meets instead Glenda and her friends who end up baring their souls to him and discovering just how far they will go for money! Whilst Robert is away the action is constantly interrupted by the appearance of the vicar’s curate, Henry, to great comic effect. The Tart & The Vicar’s Wife is an hilarious evening’s entertainment intertwined with a topical ‘credit-crunch’ theme that will strike a chord with everybody.
