Baby 2 Kids @ Worthing Nursery – Newsletter May 2012

Baby 2 in May 2012 Last month We moved rooms and the children have done really well adjusting to the changes and enjoying exploring their new space. All of the children are really enjoying using the home corner often making cups of tea for everyone. We extended this activity by letting them make real tea with luke warm water!! Arthur, William, Toby W and Adam spent all morning mixing, pouring and tasting this!! We have also been doing lots of bouncing on the trampoline. B aby2 have been enjoying the constant access to the outside space particularly digging and playing on the ride alongs. This month The key persons will be focusing on their key children as reports are being created. We will be exploring colour, measure and properties with activities such as heuristic baskets, sand and water, cooking and many more! After a few short weeks Tegan has already built strong bonds with the babies and she is a great addition to our team. Ideas for home Colour recognition To help the children with their colour recognition and exploration go for a tour of your home collecting various objects and placing them in baskets or boxes of all one colour for them to explore. We have done this at the nursery with orange.
