Pre-School Kids @ Worthing Nursery – Newsletter July 2012
Pre-School in July 2012 Last Month William, Jemima, Lucy, Aaron and Harry did some fantastic writing on the white board in the garden, forming letters to write their names. Hayden has spent lots of time building with the small lego. Rudy bought in some games for his birthday which were enjoyed. We have been growing plants in our planting area and digging up the vegetables! All the children who attend a Friday enjoyed a bear hunt in the forest school area. We remembered the story well. Jamie has been playing Mario racing with his friends. We have also been learning about the Queens Jubilee and picked up some new songs! This Month We will be dressing up in school uniforms and talking about school. We will be doing lots of sport to celebrate the Olympics and some activities based on football to support the Euro 2012. We will be taking class photos for the school leavers and making cards for each other. Please bring in forms and money for the Drusilla’s trip As Soon As Possible. Many thanks. Can all book bags be returned by the end of June please as this is when they will stop. Please can we encourage children to leave their comforters in their bags and not bring toys into the room as they cause arguments and are getting broken. Many thanks Please can we have sun-cream money ASAP. Many thanks. Dates to remember Leaver’s party is on the 13th July (School leavers only) Drusilla’s 10th July Summer fair 21st July Last date of term 12th July
Acknowledgments A big thank you to Mackenzie’s mum who comes in on Fridays to read stories to the children and to Amber’s mum who is running Forest School sessions. Ideas for home Bear hunt Take your child to a garden or forest area. Take the book ‘the bear hunt’ you can re-enact the story by walking through puddles, over logs, through mud etc. This is great fun and even better if you have someone who pretends to be the bear!!
