Hold Times, 1992 The 1992 newsletter was the first published by Telemall and it was keenly focussed on bringing to the attention of readers that Telstra had, in one of its early call centers, a good benefit from using the Telemall service. This newsletter also clearly shows the lighter side of the Telemall culture of the time.
Buzz, 1999 Many issues of BUZZ were released in the 1990’s and into the turn of the century. The BUZZ reflects the atmosphere and culture of the company during this period. It is interesting to see how the company saw itself as the savior of business persons on hold – by keeping these persons from dropping out of the queue – never to return!! Obviously the more interesting the messages on hold, the more people will listen and be distracted from the wait time itself.
