.......................................................................................... WorldMAP Ambassadors Program

.......................................................................................... The WorldMAP Ambassadors program has helped advocate the WorldMUN spirit around the world. The program started in November of 2012 and has resulted to be a hugely successful initiative, bringing 13 talented and ambitious delegates together to amass over 350 delegates from around the world. Consistently working to promote WorldMUN and increase both awareness and exposure for the cause, the Melbourne Host Directorate has worked closely with these ambassadors, obtaining detailed weekly progress reports and guiding ambassadors individually with feedback and help through both emails and social media platforms. Even after official registration deadlines, our ambassadors have continued recruiting and assisting delegates with other visa and accommodation queries, being an invaluable part of our overall recruitment process. Below are the Ambassadors names and the countries they represent: Lauditta Humaira: Indonesia Lily Linglie Zhang: China Kanij Fatima Annie: Bangladesh Caroline Yang: Taiwan Jona Gjini: Albania Natalia Salas: Spain Clive Lee: Hong Kong Bianca Nieves: Romania Paul Schliefsteiner: Austria Catarina Silva: Portugal David Wong: Singapore/ Washington DC Elie El Kallab: Lebanon Mehdi Nassih: Morocco The ambassadors have enjoyed their roles and continue to develop lifelong skills. For Lauditta Humaira, our Indonesian Ambassador, “being an ambassador for this event is such a very special honour… MUNs, especially international scale of MUN, could open up a great opportunity for every student to help them and practice their important skills to be used in their future…the best thing [about] being a WMUN Ambassador is that I can give this opportunity... to every student in Indonesia.” Moreover, Elie El Kallab, our Lebanese Ambassador, generated interest and attention through various speeches to University students and even partaking in TV interviews. He believes he has benefited from the conference, as he believes he has “gained new and valuable friendships”. We are very grateful for all the hard work and commendable efforts of our ambassadors. They are certainly responsible for spreading the WorldMUN spirit and helping our conference obtain delegates from countries that have not even previously attended WorldMUN before, which will add a depth and diversity to a heightened level of debate throughout the Conference. To our invaluable Ambassadors, we say thank you! 22
