As I look back at World Help’s friendship with Kingdom Partners, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. So many lives have felt your compassion firsthand, and even more will continue to benefit from it. I am thrilled to know that people like you are acting on behalf of some of the neediest people on this earth. Your devotion to bringing hope is an inspiration to me and so many others. I look forward to what God will do through Kingdom Partners and World Help in the years to come—God-sized tasks that will outlive us and last for eternity. Help for today . . . Hope for tomorrow,

Vernon Brewer President

causelife The 2011 Kingdom Partners golf tournament brought in $210,000 in contributions and pledges for clean-water projects. These funds will be used to provide safe drinking water around the world, including a new well for the Maru Asha School in India and a pipeline that will transport water in Guatemala. Additionally, more than 700 people attended this year’s 2nd annual Turkey Trot—a 20 percent increase over last year! The causelife funds raised from this event will go toward the construction of a clean-water system on the campus of Danita’s Children’s Home in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. Kingdom Partners has given to aid the funding of wells, filtration systems, holding tanks, maintenance, and other costs necessary to provide clean water to those who previously suffered without it. The funds you have raised through these events are not only providing safe water, but also health and improved opportunities for education and economic advancement for entire communities. They are a catalyst for change around the world, meaning lives saved and futures full of hope. Kingdom Partners Annual Update 2011 | 5

China The nation of China is experiencing one of the greatest revivals in history. While the actual number of new believers is uncertain, Christian leaders report that more than 20,000 people come to know Christ every day. Kingdom Partners has been instrumental in World Help’s work in China, giving significantly to our church-planting efforts there. Today, you are continuing that great work through our China 2.5 initiative. As part of this project, World Help recently opened a Bible school near Beijing, where 32 young leaders are receiving training to plant churches and reach their country for Christ. This school is strategically training students, giving them the potential to begin hundreds of church plants in the future. Your substantial giving to our Bibles campaign in China has reached an all-time high! You have affected China in a way we only dreamed possible—more than 250,000 Bibles have been distributed this year, and nearly 4,000 new churches have been planted. These results would not be possible without your visionary giving, and thousands across China are experiencing this generosity. Kingdom Partners Annual Update 2011 | 7

Cuba Your investment in Cuban church planting is making an eternal difference that is rippling through the entire country . . . and the impact is contagious. Hundreds of churches are planted each year, and the number of new Christ followers grows daily. These new churches are led by men and women who have the passion to see others come to know Christ, as well as deepen their relationship with Him through discipleship. In 2011 alone, 143 new churches have been planted, thousands of individuals have made decisions to follow Christ, and hundreds have participated in public baptism. The message of the Gospel is gaining ground by the power of Christ, the faith and conviction of our church planters, and your willingness to make a difference. These Christian leaders praise God for faithful brothers and sisters in Christ who provide encouragement and support. Your involvement in their work is an investment they are so thankful for—and one that is empowering them to take the Gospel even further in Cuba. Kingdom Partners Annual Update 2011 | 9

Guatemala Guatemala is one of the neediest countries in the world, yet your compassion has soothed the pain of many communities in this povertystricken nation. To date, the Baby Rescue Center has intervened in the lives of more than 4,000 children suffering with malnutrition, disease, and other handicaps. Without intervention, these innocent young lives would continue to suffer through, or succumb to, their pain. Yet with compassion and professional medical care, these children can experience healthy and thriving lives. This program continues to flourish and will be further developed upon the completion of the children’s hospital. In addition to these projects, thousands of hungry people have been given food through your generous giving to feeding centers across Guatemala. On any given day, these feeding centers can provide meals for over 250,000—the majority of them children and women. For those who sometimes go entire days without food, this project is not only improving health, but is saving lives from the grip of malnutrition. Kingdom Partners Annual Update 2011 | 11

Hospital Numerous villages in Guatemala have been completely and permanently changed because of Kingdom Partners—and the children’s hospital you have provided will continue to improve these communities. It is entering its final stages of completion and will work in conjunction with the Baby Rescue Center, caring for children in need of emergency medical care. Currently, the interior of the first four floors is being finalized, and the construction on the fifth and sixth floors is underway. When completed, the hospital will offer an emergency room, children’s ward, maternity, operating and quarantine rooms, a men’s ward, and other facilities. This hospital will not only help meet a crucial need but will provide many families with peace of mind and hope for their children. Medical care is a commodity these villagers have never had. Eighty percent of children under the age of five, who live in rural areas, suffer from malnutrition, and this hospital will be the first glimpse of hope their families have ever had. Thank you for giving a future of health and well-being for generations to come in Guatemala.

Haiti Nearly two years later, Haiti is still recovering from the devastating consequences of an earthquake that ripped through the nation and left millions affected. Your giving made it possible for us to do hands-on work immediately after the disaster, and you are still making a significant difference today. The Children’s Medical Center you have provided funds for is making progress as construction continues. Once completed, this three-story facility will offer outpatient and clinical programs. Visitors will be tended by medical professionals and will have access to dental and pharmaceutical care. This center will also house doctors, medical teams, missionaries, and visitors. Because of supporters like you, World Help has sent millions of dollars worth of medical supplies, tents, food and water, bedding, and most recently, nutritious baby formula. These provisions have impacted nearly two million lives, and many more will benefit in the future from the Children’s Medical Center. Kingdom Partners Annual Update 2011 | 15

India The Maru Asha Children’s Home in Jaipur continues to meet the needs of 50 young boys, the majority of whom previously spent their days in area slums—without any form of education or spiritual nurturing. Your partner Trevor DeLinares is excited to tell you that since the Maru Asha School was completed, it has grown immensely and continues to expand, though barely a year old. The school currently oversees the education of 157 children, which includes children from the home, as well as from the surrounding community. Additionally, the Calcutta Bible School in Kolkata, India, is funded for another year through your giving. As you know, the school faced closure despite its legacy of training church planters and leaders for the past 56 years. We were presented with the momentous opportunity to support this historic training center where more than 600 students have graduated and used their training to make an impact. Now with your help, more Christian leaders can be equipped with the skills necessary to continue penetrating India with the love of Christ.

Kenya Your recent efforts in the Horn of Africa famine have been deep-felt, given the lack of attention to “the greatest humanitarian disaster of our time.” Kingdom Partners has contributed funds to supply 10 containers—each one filled with nutrition-rich food or medical supplies that will go to Somalis in the largest refugee camp in the world. Without your involvement, the victims of this crisis would be completely helpless. On behalf of some of the world’s most innocent and desperate people, thank you for acknowledging their devastating pain and choosing to make a difference. Your involvement in Kenya has also been manifested in the lives of more than 50 children in one of the world’s most deprived places—the Kibera slum in Nairobi—home to more than 50,000 orphans. In early March, some Kingdom Partners visited the slum where they learned about WEEP, a school that is caring for children affected by AIDS and abject poverty. Today, each one of these children receives daily nutrition, an education, and spiritual development. Because of you, they have hope in an atmosphere of utter darkness. Nepal Your partner Pastor Kam is excited to share the progress being made throughout Nepal as a result of your giving. In the last few months, eight new churches have been planted, many children have experienced the love of your giving, and the Gospel is taken further into the country with each passing day. The Grace Children’s Home you helped establish continues to thrive. The children are experiencing the warmth and nurturing of attentive caregivers while receiving an education and Biblical training. Sunil, a young man who was abandoned by his mother, found rest at Grace and became a Christ follower. Today, he is passionate about studying God’s Word and works diligently to help younger students understand it as well. By investing in church planters, children, and families throughout Nepal, you are bringing true redemption to a nation struggling under the weight of poverty and spiritual darkness. North Korea Despite severe oppression, the underground church in North Korea is growing at an unstoppable rate. This year alone, 5,023 Bibles were distributed, and over 160 Christian leaders received church-planting training and are spreading throughout the country, taking the powerful message of the Gospel with them. Recently, World Help has received numerous reports of “harsh interrogation” and unrelenting investigations into the underground church networks. “[They] face the possibility of exposure and persecution. Please pray for those networks to be kept safe,” our partner in North Korea asks. Kingdom Partners has invested heavily in North Korea, and World Help is excited to hear stories from our partners of how your commitment to this country is producing eternal results. So many lives have been touched by your encouraging involvement and, as a result, have planted the Gospel in the lives of thousands more, continuing to make a difference for eternity. Uganda The people of Uganda continue to be abundantly blessed by your generous provision and compassionate care. The vocational school in Gulu has now seen over 900 graduates complete its program. These are men, women, and young adults who previously had no hope of supporting themselves or their families. Child mothers and former child soldiers, AIDS orphans, and victims of war—all of them receive a restored sense of worth and accomplishment through vocational training. Presently, your giving in Uganda is aiding the progress of the construction of Saintsgate Church in Katwe slum. The congregation currently meets in the basement of the church as they wait for the completion of the sanctuary’s walls and roof. Previously built from aluminum and other basic materials, Saintsgate can soon offer a safer place to worship for its members. Each day, the simple care, education, and spiritual nurturing of your gifts meet deeply profound needs and ensure that the people of Uganda have a stable future. Sponsorship Because of your giving, 247 orphaned and helpless children around the world have found comfort and hope through your investment in their lives. Without you, many of the children in our sponsorship program would continue to live their lives under the crushing weight of hunger, thirst, malnutrition, neglect, and the innumerable emotional and physical consequences of poverty. Albert, a student from the Gilgal Children’s Home in India, recently shared how your support is so important to him: “I’m so grateful to you [because] you have been my help in all respects. If it wasn’t for you, I would not be able to do what I am doing now, so I thank God for sending me a sponsor like you. I want to thank you because I know your prayers are always with me.” If you had not become involved in Albert’s life, he may still be without any form of stability. His transformed life represents the many children who are thankful to have been given hope, joy, and the opportunities for true health because of your help. Kingdom Partners Annual Update 2011 | 27

Sustainability World Help has come to understand well the need for lasting care. Providing a sustaining hope is a priority for each project that we invest in, and we are honored that Kingdom Partners has the same vision to make a difference through sustainable solutions. You have invested in projects that have provided livestock, harvestproducing seeds, and so many more solutions which will continue to touch lives for years to come. Your actions leave a legacy of love and care that is enduring. One of your projects—the tilapia farm in Zacapa, Guatemala—is a perfect example of how your investment in sustainability is yielding a tremendous change. The farm’s 10 ponds create more than 2 million pounds of fish each year! Beyond food and wages, these ponds are used to teach children in the community farming methods that will provide them with the knowledge necessary for successful careers.
