In my official capacity as a liaison to the Lubbock City Council, I assure you our community leaders want nothing more than to see Texas Tech and its students succeed. Student Government is an organization for the students, by the students. Our purpose remains simple: to serve the students. When the students wanted the longest lazy river in the Big XII, SGA delivered. When students wanted an extension of winter break, SGA delivered. Our student organizations are some of the largest and most influential in the nation, and SGA proudly allocates $500,000 a semester to ensure they achieve their goals. We handle everything from student safety to campus transportation. Ben, Witt, Kevin and all the senators are looking forward to serving you this year.
