Over the past twenty-five years, Sharon Wulf has been a senior high-technology executive, college professor, author, educational organization vice president, board member, angel investor, and management consultant In 1992, she founded Enterprise Systems, a business and organizational development firm integrating her unique combination of expertise to offer individual coaching, executive education, and in-house corporate professional development training programs. In addition to consulting and teaching, Sharon serves on three nonprofit boards, including the National Board of Directors for the English Speaking Union of the United States of America, headquartered in New York City. At WPI, Sharon teaches courses in Graduate Qualifying Projects and Leadership at the School of Business.

– Fourtes Quartet – Go the Distance –Alan Menken Sam Bartlett, Scott Brooks, Tony Guerra, James Kirk

• The Towers of Boynton Hall and the Washburn Shops • Completed in 1868, WPI’s first building is named for John Boynton, a prosperous tinware manufacturer who founded the Institute in 1865 with a gift of $100,000. Boynton Hall was one of the first buildings designed by noted architect Stephen Earle and was constructed of granite obtained from local quarries. The building originally housed classrooms and labs, where students learned the theory of science and engineering. The Washburn Shops, constructed in 1868, was the gift of Ichabod Washburn, a wire manufacturer who believed that engineering education should include not only classroom instruction but practical, hands-on experience in a working manufacturing facility.
