Worcester County

Books are just the beginning.

As autumn turns to winter, the days get shorter, and the weather gets gloomy, you may be tempted to stay home and hunker down.

Let the Library help, with access to our digital resources using just your library card. Borrow e-books, audiobooks, and magazines from OverDrive or Hoopla without ever leaving your home, inspire your own imagination and learn a new skill with Creativebug’s instructional videos, or explore colleges or careers with Peterson’s Test and Career Prep. Find these resources (and more!) at WorcesterLibrary.org. But if being cooped up has you feeling restless, be sure to check out our programs, both in-person and online. Mingle with your neighbors and celebrate the holiday spirit during the month of December (page 3) or learn about Black History through art and engaging lectures during the month of February (page 11). And, we are so excited to announce Launch Phase, blasting off in January 2023! Look for kits promoting school-readiness at each of our five branches. The boxes include activities to support letter and number learning, motor skill development and color and shape recognition. Try them out with your child, and let us know what you think! Find more information about the program on page 13.
