Tonight's performances in the plazas and on the Main Stage are sure to get everyone in the festive spirit. I want to recognize and thank Robert Horton, CISD Fine Arts Director, and all of the music teachers, directors and talented students for their tireless support and enthusiasm in producing this event. This program falls within The Pavilion's mission of providing training and performance opportunities for young artists and we are proud to host it year after year. Our 30th anniversary season was quite eventful as we featured special performances by the Boston Pops Symphony Orchestra and The United States Army Field Band and Soldier's Chorus, seven Houston Symphony performances, a full production of La bohéme by Houston Grand Opera and a mixed repertory piece by the Houston Ballet. I want to thank all of our Performing Arts sponsors listed in this program for their continued support this season. The 24th Annual Children's Festival, presented by ExxonMobil, was a tremendous success with beautiful weather, incredible performances of Thomas & Friends Live, engaging activities and plenty of fun for the whole family. Before the weekend festival, we welcomed over 11,000 students from over 60 schools across 9 different districts for two-days of free field trips to the venue. Students enjoyed live performances on the Main Stage and hands-on educational activities, all of which help us to achieve our core purpose of providing opportunities for children of all ages to engage with the performing arts. We are excited to have started announcing some incredible performers for 2020. Our 31st season of providing world-class entertainment will feature artists from a variety of genres including Journey with Pretenders, The Black Crowes, The Lumineers and The Doobie Brothers. Thanks again for being here tonight. We hope you enjoy tonight's show and have a wonderful holiday season. I look forward to seeing everyone again in 2020!
