TEAMS IN ACTION Community Relations Team / ROTARY CLUB THE WOODLANDS The mission of the not-for-profit Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and preach through improvement of health, support of education and alleviation of poverty. They are supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the foundation who share its vision of a better world. The Rotary House is a community service provided by The Woodlands Rotary Club to outof-town families and patients receiving extended medical treatment in The Woodlands area. Rotary House currently serves patients of CHI St. Luke’s Hospital, Conroe Regional Medical Center Memorial Hermann Medical Center, Methodist Hospital The Woodlands, Texas Children’s

Hospital The Woodlands and MD Anderson Treatment Center. Rotary House has access to two fully-furnished, ground floor, onebedroom apartments. To assist the needs of the homes as well as those clients seeking home assistance, the team collected donations during the month of June. Items such as food and general living materials, as well as restaurant and store gift cards were collected. All were turned over to Shannon Smith, private event coordinator of Good Company BBQ Restaurant and Julie Martineau of Montgomery County Community Foundation, who were extremely grateful for the donations that will help The Rotary House help others. If you are looking for a team where you can donate your time and talent to help local nonprofit organizations, we invite you join the Community Relations Team. The team meets the first Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m. at The Chamber.
