6 month Survey Results SURVEY RESULTS
Thank you for your continued engagement and feedback. Your participation in the membership experience surveys has been invaluable in guiding how we shape improvements across our Club. We are pleased to share encouraging progress this year.
Our overall Net Promoter Score (NPS)—a measure of member loyalty and willingness to recommend the Club—has increased from 11 in 2024 (May-November) to 37 in 2025 (May-November). This is a significant improvement and indicates that more members feel positively about the direction and community of Woodbridge.
We have also seen gains in our Member Experience Index, which measures day-to-day satisfaction. Importantly, these improvements occurred across every major department:
• Food & Beverage, especially front-of-house service, saw strong increases in member satisfaction.
• Clubhouse service and general hospitality interactions also improved meaningfully.
• Golf Operations and Golf Course maintenance continue to be areas of consistent strength.
• Fitness, Aquatics, Tennis, and Pickleball are seeing positive movement, and we will continue to focus on driving consistency and additional programming support there.
Survey response rates have more than doubled, meaning your voices are shaping our decisions more than ever. This increased engagement makes the results clearer, more representative, and more actionable.
Continuing Our Commitment
While these results reflect meaningful progress, we acknowledge there are still areas where we have work to do. We are focused on:
• Further improving service speed and consistency in dining
• Offering more communication and access to staff support
• Balancing course, court, and amenity availability with demand
• Creating more opportunities for social connection and community belonging
Your feedback guides this work. We listen, we plan, and we act — and we appreciate your partnership in our continued progress.
Thank you for helping us strengthen the Woodbridge experience, together.
Happy Holidays, Ryan Bill, General Manager

From Chicago Lanes to Woodbridge Greens... meet the DeVries’ MEMBER
If you’ve spent any time around the clubhouse—at tournaments, social events, or simply enjoying a good post-round meal—there’s a good chance you’ve crossed paths with Erin and Mike DeVries. They’re warm, welcoming, and exactly the kind of people who remind you why Woodbridge feels like home. This month, we’re excited to share their story.
How long have you been members at Woodbridge?
Erin & Mike: Eight years—and we’ve loved every minute of it.
What first brought you to the Club?
Erin: We were brand new to Lodi and really hoping to build community.
Mike: We leaned into our love of golf, joined the Club, and the rest is history.
What’s your favorite way to spend time here?
Both: Golfing and attending events. If you see us out here, we’re probably doing one of those two things.
Go-to post-round meal or drink?
Erin: I almost always order whatever the special is—and pair it with an Aperol Spritz.
Mike: Crispy chicken sandwich and a Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned. Hard to beat.
Any proud moments on the course?
Erin: Winning 18-Holers Most Improved.
Mike: Winning Race to Vegas with Scott Ciboch.
Current handicap?
Erin: 14.8
Mike: 11.3
Favorite person to golf with—and why?
Both: Each other, of course.
Erin: And Teresa Ishiguro—because golfing with her basically means I’m getting a lesson.
Mike: Kelly Brown. He’ll always keep you laughing.
Fun fact most members don’t know?
Erin & Mike: We’ve known each other since we were 15.
How do you spend your time outside the Club?
Both: We love finding live music, wine tasting, reading, and watching movies. Basically, anything that lets us unwind together.
like Paint & Sip. They’re such an easy, low-pressure way to meet new people— you’ll be placed at tables with others, so connections happen naturally.
Favorite hole on the course?
Erin: River 1—it’s the only par 5 I can reach in regulation!
Mike: Vineyard 5.
Who inspires you—on or off the course?
Both: Honestly, we inspire each other. We each have our own strengths, and whether it’s competitiveness or personal goals, we balance one another well.
Advice for new members?
Both: Participate in the smaller events
Do you enjoy other sports or hobbies?
Both: We love bowling and cornhole. We even played in a bowling league back when we lived in Chicago—and joined one in California while trying to make friends.
If you see Erin and Mike around the Club, be sure to say hello. They’re everything we love about the Woodbridge community—fun, welcoming, and always up for a good round or a good time.

A Weekend Ray of Sunshine at Woodbridge... Bre Johnson STAFF
Every month, we highlight a member of the Woodbridge team who adds something special to our community. This month, we’re celebrating Bre Johnson, whose early morning weekend shifts have made her a familiar (and much-loved) face around the Club.
Q: What’s your current role at the Club, and how long have you been part of the team?
A: I’m currently working the early morning weekend shifts. I first started at Woodbridge 14 years and 5 months ago! Two years ago, I stepped away from my full-time position after getting into a Radiology program — and as of July 2025, I’ve officially graduated and passed my state boards! It feels amazing to have reached that milestone.
Q: What originally brought you to Woodbridge Golf & Country Club?
A: One of my favorite members, Julie Vernon, told me the Club was hiring servers and thought I’d be a great fit. She was right. Nearly 15 years later, the Club has become such a big part of my life, and I’m grateful every day for the community here.
Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?
A: Definitely the members and my coworkers. I’ve made lifelong friends here — people who feel like extended family. And I love seeing my “regulars” during those early weekend hours.
Q: Can you share a memorable moment or story from your time here?
A: I love celebrating members on their birthdays with something special to make their day brighter. Seeing someone smile or laugh because of a small gesture is one of my favorite parts of working here. And I always enjoy a little good-natured humor with the weekend crew.
Q: How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
A: I love spending time with my family and my boyfriend — and I’m always up for a fun night out with my closest friends. Now that I’ve finished school, I’m excited to get back to traveling
Q: Do you have career aspirations outside of the Club?
A: Yes! I’m currently gaining experience in the Radiology field and learning as much as I can. I’m excited to grow in this new chapter of my career.
Q: Do you have a favorite event or tradition at the Club?
A: The Tokay tournaments are always a highlight for me. The Vocker tournaments are a lot of fun too!
Q: What’s your go-to meal or drink from the Club menu?
A: The chicken teriyaki bowl is my top pick, and I’m always happy with a good iced coffee.
Q: Who or what inspires you in your work?
A: I’ve always been driven and love setting goals for myself. Working with great members and supportive coworkers makes it even better. (And yes… Kelley did not pay me to say that!)
Q: If you could switch roles with anyone at the Club for a day, who would it be?
A: Anyone who knows how to golf. I’d love to learn more about the game because I have absolutely no idea what any of the golf terminology means!
Q: What’s one fun fact about you that members might not know?
A: I love exploring new places, and I really want to do a Color Run in India. It looks like such an incredible, vibrant experience.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being part of the Woodbridge community?
A: The love and support I’ve received over the years has been amazing. WGCC has truly become a huge part of my heart. I genuinely enjoy seeing our members and feeling so appreciated — it’s something I never take for granted.

Reminder on Staff Gratuity
Some drinks just feel like autumn — crisp, cozy, and a little bit celebratory. Our Honeycrisp Margarita brings all of that together in one frosty glass. It’s the perfect blend of orchard-fresh apple cider, smooth tequila, a splash of apple brandy, a warm whisper of cinnamon whiskey, and a bright squeeze of lime. Served over ice and finished with fresh apple slices, it’s the kind of cocktail that makes you want to linger a little longer with friends.
Whether you’re wrapping up a round of golf or settling in for a crisp fall evening at the Club, this one hits all the right notes. Come try the drink of the season — it’s fall in a glass.
Dear Valued Members,
As the holiday season approaches, we want to take a moment to remind you about our dining policies regarding ala carte meals and member banquets.
Please note that both ala carte meals and member banquets do not include gratuity in the pricing. During this festive time of year, it’s especially important to show appreciation for our dedicated staff who work hard to provide you with quality service and delightful experiences.
We encourage you to express your gratitude through tipping, allowing our team to continue delivering the exceptional service that our members have come to expect.
Thank you for your understanding and for being a valued member of our community. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season!

GIVE THE GIFT OF WOODBRIDGE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON Legacy Memberships & Winter Golf Promotion Now Open
December at Woodbridge always feels a little magical. The lights go up around the Clubhouse, families gather after festive rounds of golf, and the energy shifts into that cozy, end-of-year warmth that reminds us how lucky we are to be part of such a special community.
It’s also the time of year when many of us start thinking about gifts — not just the ones under the tree, but the ones that last far beyond the holidays.
And for families who love spending time together, who cherish meaningful traditions, and who want to share the place that brings them joy, the gift of membership at Woodbridge is a beautiful way to do exactly that.
This winter, we’re excited to offer two wonderful opportunities for members to share the Club with someone they love.
1. The Legacy Program
For many of our members, Woodbridge is a family tradition — a place where children grow up learning the game, where grandparents cheer from the sidelines, and where generations gather to celebrate life’s milestones.
Our Legacy Program helps keep those traditions going. Eligible family members — adult children, parents, grandchildren, grandparents and siblings — receive preferred pricing when joining under the Legacy umbrella. It’s a heartfelt way to keep your family connected here at the Club, season after season.
If you’ve ever imagined your son, daughter, or a close relative joining you on the tee box, this program makes it easier than ever.
BY KRISTINE ROBERSON MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
2. Winter Golf Promotion
If you have friends, coworkers, or neighbors who’ve been curious about membership, the winter months offer the perfect entry point.
The 2026 Winter Golf Promotion includes:
• 50% off Golf dues through February 2026
• Full Golf Member privileges all winter long
• Unlimited access to our 27-hole championship course
• A seamless transition to regular dues on March 1
It's a simple, affordable way for someone to become part of our golf community while experiencing everything Woodbridge has to offer right away.
’Tis the Season for Sharing What You Love
Whether it’s the Legacy Program or the Winter Golf Promotion, December is a wonderful time to introduce someone to the Club. Membership isn’t just a gift for this year — it’s something that grows in value over time, creating shared experiences, family memories, and friendships that last well beyond the holidays.
If you have someone in mind, I’m happy to reach out, send more information, or answer any questions. Simply email me (kroberson@woodbridgegcc.com) call me (209-263-0115), or stop by the office.
Let’s make this season a little brighter by welcoming new faces — and new families — to the Woodbridge community.
NOVEMBER’S NEW MEMBERS
As we wrap up the year and head into the holiday season, we’re excited to welcome several new (and returning!) families into our Woodbridge community. Each brings their own story, passions, and connection to the Club—and we’re delighted to have them here.
Frederick & Jennifer Lozo
Full Golf | Sponsor: Jeff Christian
The Lozos are returning to Woodbridge after nearly a decade away, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them back. Fred recently retired after many years as a project manager with San Joaquin Electric, while Jennifer works as a project specialist with SUSD. Their son, Ben, is in his first year of medical school at UC Davis. After enjoying a wonderful decade as members from 2006–2016, they’re looking forward to reconnecting with the Club now that life has slowed down a bit.
Robert Williams
Single Golf | Sponsor: Membership Committee
Robert joins us with deep roots in the golf community. A retired Chevrolet dealer of 25 years, he has previously been a member at Kings Country Club in Laton, Belmont CC, and is currently a member of San Joaquin CC in Fresno. He’s also the proud father of twin sons—one of whom is our very own Player Development Professional, Ryan Williams. We’re thrilled to have Robert join the Woodbridge family.
Faith & Joshua Borges
Young Professional | Sponsor: Tim Munson
Faith and Josh’s story with Woodbridge began eight years ago when they were married at the Club. Today, they return as a family of three with their one-yearold son, Bennett—already showing signs of inheriting his dad’s love for golf. Faith is a partner at Public Policy Partnership, a Sacramento-based lobbying firm, while Josh runs Josh Borges Construction, working across residential and commercial projects in his hometown of Lodi. They’re eager to jump back in, get involved, and give back to the community that means so much to them.
Allison & Micah McEachron
Sports | Sponsor: Aaron Passey
The McEachron family—Micah, Alli, their daughter Georgia, and their beloved dog Molly—are excited to make Woodbridge part of their family life. Micah works as a building consultant for Sedgwick, while Alli owns Blooms by Alli, a floral company specializing in weddings and events. Georgia, who recently turned two, loves animals, outdoor adventures, and all things Princess Elsa. They love creating memories together, and we’re thrilled Woodbridge will be one of the places they do just that.
If you see these families around the Club, please join us in giving them a warm Woodbridge welcome. Here’s to new friendships, shared experiences, and a wonderful season ahead.

Last Month’s Question –
In Four-Ball stroke play with side A-B and side C-D playing together, after A plays from the 2nd teeing area, but before any other player plays, B discovers that B has mistakenly carried 15 clubs from the start due to a club that they failed to remove at the range before the round. What is the ruling?
Answer –
Both A and B get the general penalty. See Rule 4.1b(1); Rule 23.9a(2)
This Month’s Question –
In match play, Player A mistakenly lifts their ball from the putting green without marking it. The opponent, Player B, lifts their ball without marking it and says they have won the hole, because they think that A gets the general penalty. What is the ruling?

WINTER COURSE CONDITIONS
Dear Members,
As we enter December and close out another productive year at Woodbridge, I’d like to share a seasonal update on course conditions and the agronomy team’s winter priorities.
Winter Turf Color
Our Bermuda fairways on the Vineyard/River are now entering full winter dormancy, which is expected and healthy for warm-season turf. While color naturally fades during this period, the turf remains alive and protected beneath the surface.
Our greens, however, remain actively managed yearround. Through carefully timed plant growth regulators, light nutrient applications, and routine topdressing, our goal is to maintain smooth putting surfaces with reliable winter performance and speed—despite the cooler temperatures.
Tree Management & Winter Safety Work
Winter is our most important season for tree care. Our team is focusing on structural pruning, stormpreparedness thinning, and removal of heavy or compromised limbs in high-traffic areas.
These projects improve course safety and protect the long-term health of our trees before winter weather intensifies.
A Holiday Thank You
On behalf of the entire agronomy team, thank you for your ongoing support and encouragement throughout the year. We appreciate your patience during projects, your feedback, and your enthusiasm for the course we work hard to maintain.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season. We look forward to delivering a great year of playing conditions in 2026.

December’s Tip of the Month Protecting Your Superpower: Using the Offseason to Strengthen What Makes You Great
The first article I wrote for our monthly newsletter explored the many different parts of our great game, which I represented as pieces of a pie. In all, there were seven — and I still think it’s a nice way to break down golf. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were positions to play in golf? One person could be the “driver,” another the “iron player,” maybe a bunker expert or designated putter. But one of the great challenges of golf is that we have to seamlessly move between all the skills required to play at a high level.
To review, the seven pieces of the pie are as follows (not in order of importance):
6. Equipment — Set makeup, length, lie angle, shaft, ball
7. Practice — How one values and trains the game’s many parts
As we drift toward winter—a slower time in the calendar for most golfers— even tournament players have fewer events. For many, this time becomes the “offseason,” a natural opportunity for reflection on the previous year. What went well? What didn’t? What
can I improve on to have a better season next year?
It’s human nature, in this process, to focus on weaknesses. That makes sense. Many golfers think, “If only I could cut down on 3-putts, or wedge it a little closer, or get up and down more often, that could close the gap between where I am and where I want to be.”
At this point, a word of caution is prudent. From my own experience focusing on my weakest slice of the pie in past offseasons, I’ve learned that the results aren’t always what you expect. By putting too much attention on improving weaknesses, golfers often lose what Dr. Greg Rose, co-founder of the Titleist Performance Institute, calls their “superpower.”
Charles Schwab Cup Champion Kevin Sutherland has told me on several occasions that every player needs to understand “their catalyst to good golf” and protect that at all costs. In other words, your strengths are what make you great. Improving a weakness at the expense of a strength often leads to a drop in overall performance.
A recent example is Scottie Scheffler. In 2023, he had one of the best ballstriking seasons in PGA Tour history but won only a couple of tournaments. That year would have been a career highlight for most players—but by Scottie’s standards, it was a down season.
Fast forward to 2025: Scheffler just completed the best putting year of his
career. He started the season putting better, but he didn’t win until early May at his home tournament in Dallas. (To be fair, he was also recovering from a fluke injury involving making pasta with a stemmed wineglass!)
The reason for the slow start? His ball-striking—his “superpower”— had dipped until that win. Once it returned, the results were staggering: six victories, including the PGA Championship and The Open Championship, his first season with multiple major wins.
So when you evaluate your season and plan your path forward, start with this question:
“What is my superpower?” or “What is my catalyst to great golf?”
Look at your best rounds through the lens of the seven slices of the pie. Identify the common threads that connect your great days on the course. You may be surprised how consistent the recipe is for your best golf.
Still not sure? A playing lesson is the best way to find the answers. My goal in those sessions is to make it clear what your personal roadmap to lower scores looks like — and to help you protect the parts of your game that make you great. This offseason, don’t just fix your weaknesses—sharpen your strengths. That’s where your best golf live
Cigar Club: Lewis & Clark, plus 2026 events
BY KEVIN WOLF CIGAR CLUB CHAIR
December brings one of Woodbridge’s most-loved traditions back to the course — the annual Lewis & Clark Adventure.
This year’s layout is being crafted by past Club Champion Ross Vilinskas, who called to say he had a “vision” for the day. If Ross is dreaming something up, it’s bound to be memorable. We’ll be taking on 11 adventurous holes across the Vineyard and Lake Courses, making this year’s outing a true journey.
A quick reminder for our Cigar Club members: your entry fee is complimentary as long as your membership is active. It’s one of the best perks of being part of the club — a great event, great company, and no charge to play.
And speaking of perks, the food this year is shaping up to be a highlight. Kelley and Chef Matt are roasting something entirely new for the event, and let’s just say…you’ll want to come hungry.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We’re already gearing up for a full year of fun on the calendar:
• March: Whisky Dinner
• April, May, July, August: 9-Hole Social Golf Events
• September: Annual Glow Ball Tournament
• October: 14-Club Challenge
• December: Lewis & Clark Adventure
We’re also hoping to bring back the popular February Cigar Club Trip — destination to be announced. All 2026 dates will be listed in the January Newsletter, so keep an eye out. If you have any questions about the Lewis & Clark Adventure or the Cigar Club, feel free to reach out to Kevin Wolf at kevin.wolf@nm.com.

49er Update
Wet November
BY DONNA AARONS FORE-TEE NINERS 2024 CAPTAIN
It’s hard to believe we’ve already arrived at the final month of 2025.
November brought plenty of fun on the course—even though rain washed out two weeks in a row. We kicked off the month on the 6th with a game of “Only Odd Holes Count.” Congratulations to our River Course winners: 1st — Donna Aarons, 2nd — Jill Bratton, 3rd — Kathy Cockayne.
On the 20th, we gathered for a lively Thanksgiving Party hosted by Melissa Krebill and Jill Bratton. Not even the rain could slow us down. The afternoon was filled with darts, ring toss, indoor putting, and cornhole, plus a lineup of clever timed games that had us laughing, competing, and getting to know each other even better.
Stroke play wrapped up the month on the 25th with a small but mighty group on the Lake Course. A special highlight: Rhonda Craig’s fantastic chip-in birdie on hole #8!
Looking ahead to December, we’ll be enjoying Best Ball, stroke play, and a special mystery game during our holiday party on the 11th.
If you’re a golf member, we’d love to have you join the Fore Tee Niner Ladies. We play fun, engaging games each month, mix in stroke play, celebrate with festive holiday events, and enjoy a weekly social lunch after nine holes. For those looking to improve their game, we offer frequent clinics during the good-weather months. If you’re interested, inquire in the Golf Shop or reach out to Donna Aarons.
As we close out the year, warm wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy holiday season—and wonderful things to come in 2026.
