“Long Hours and Hard Work”
Jeff’s goal in getting to work so early is to get all of his paperwork done and be available throughout the day to service his listings with other realtors, work with buyers and network. You will not find Jeff on the golf course, card room, etc.; he gives 100+% to his career and family.
Where did Jeff get his work ethic? Prior to becoming a realtor in 2001, Jeff spent the preceding 9 years in the textile industry, working with both buyers and designers, selling home furnishing fabric to manufacturers, distributors and retailers of furniture, draperies and bedspreads. Jeff traveled an exhausting 35 weeks per year and rose to executive vice president during this time.
Huh?? Jeff says, “The early bird gets the worm.”
When the company was sold, Jeff turned down a pay increase and promotion to move from Chicago to New York; elected to change industries and made a promise to his family to have dinner at home each night with his wife and children.

Jeff ’s role models and heroes Jeff’s Dad and Mom
As a child, Jeff observed his dad leave for work every morning at 6 am, come home with 1 or 2 briefcases, and often found him working at the breakfast room table at 2 am.
When Jeff was a young impressionable adult, one of his heroes was Walter Payton, the famous running back for the Chicago Bears. Payton had a workout routine that was incredibly tough and grueling, running up and down “Walter Payton’s Hill” for hours.
Jeff’s softer side comes from his mom. She has dozens of friends, always looks on the bright side of things, gives people the benefit of the doubt, and is persistent in the most positive way.
Other players would visit “Walter Payton’s Hill” and attempt his routine. No one could even come close to finishing. Walter Payton never missed a game due to injury, his workouts left him in fabulous condition.
She is thoughtful, caring and forgiving. Jeff picked up these traits from her.

“A Whole Lot of Little Things” Jeff’s upbringing: Jeff was raised to always tell the truth, just like abe Lincoln. You can rely on Jeff to give you a straightforward opinion on the value of your home, feedback from showings, if your house is priced correctly, etc.
Jeff’s first listing was an old house with a garage stuffed full of old junk. Jeff came the next day in gym shoes and a t-shirt, got a broom, and with the help of the owner (who sat in his lawn chair and directed) cleaned that garage himself. There were cobwebs, dead insects, all kinds of grimy stuff, but at the end of the day, it was spotless.
