IBQ Education Services Document Version 3.40: Email Function Background: IBQ continues to streamline the way you work with your customers! QRater is now tied to your email software for sending quotes, applications and insurance cards. Question: ‘How does the new email function work?’ Answer: Quote as you would normally do. When you view the details of the quote – click the ‘Email’ button to start your email software.

You will now see this screen:

Click the ‘Quote’ button and your selection will be shown like this:

Now you can click ‘SendMail’ to start your own email client software. As you can see here my email software has been started and the subject line has been filled in with the quote details and insured name. Notice that the ‘To’ block is ready for you to plug in the insured’s email address and the quote is actually attached as a ‘Rich Text’ document which is viewable by any text viewer.

I can fill in a message of course and then click ‘Send’ to complete this. I now have a copy of this email and quote in my ‘Send’ folder for later reference. Copyright © IBQ Systems 2007: Technical Publication 12/28/2007

IBQ Education Services Document Version 3.40: Email Function Question: ‘What does the quote attachment look like…. How does the insured view this?’ Answer: The quote attachment is in the ‘Rich Text’ format which makes it viewable by any text editor.

You can then click ‘Quote’, ‘Application’, or ‘IDCards’ and we have done here:

The system prompts you to choose which vehicles to print the ID Cards for. Click “OK” or ‘All’ to start your email software with these attachments.
