With the reality of the future changing day by day and the security of having a job is no longer something we can count on. As individuals we have to look at other ways to increase the one thing we all want more of – INCOME. With 5% of the world owning 95% of the world’s resources, ask yourself this question, which side of the scale would you rather be on? More and more people just like you are turning to an alternative income source, a home-based business with very little overhead and the opportunity to do what you love and earn a solid income in which you write your own paycheck is attractive, unlike a job where you have to put in 40 years and look forward to retirement on a limited budget, there are opportunities abound where you can work for 5-10 years and make more money than you ever dreamed possible. Not having to worry about bills, being able to send your children to the best schools, even being able to walk your children to school would not be a privilege but an everyday occurrence, creating stronger family bonds. Paid vacations, positive and enlightening friendships, the possibilities are endless. I challenge you to enter into a world of dreams, your dreams. Meet the people that are making it happen, discover the businesses that are the vehicles to financial comfort and stability. Look closely at our advertisements, behind each one of them stands a person like yourself, wanting a little bit more, more money, more time. Take the time to learn about them, visit their websites, support them and the best part you have the opportunity to come face to face with them. They are in your community. Remember to “MIND YOUR BUSINESS”!

Are You WET! When it comes to something as basic as drinking and cooking water, does your family rely on tap water that tastes like chemicals, could contain unacceptable contaminants, and comes from who knows where? Or, do you turn to bottled water - water that isn’t necessarily better than what comes from the tap but is far more expensive? By Andrew Rostant

If so, you and your entire household could benefit from a remarkable breakthrough in ionized alkaline water... the terrific power of the Leveluk SD501 filtration machine, only from Enagic®! Enagic® is the world’s leading name in healthful and affordable ionized alkaline water, and the SD501 is its affordable and convenient flagship model for the family. This industry-leading machine connects directly to your faucet and filters your ordinary tap water into cool, crisp, and refreshing alkaline water for better hydration!

The secret is contained inside, with seven platinumcoated titanium plates  that generate five different types of water - all with a pH from 2.5 to 11.5.

Dehydration is lurking and can strike at any moment! There are few things more dangerous in life than not having enough water. As humans, our bodies are designed around this essential, life-giving fluid. We’re 70% water after all, and we can’t go more than three days without it. Even mild dehydration has an effect. It depletes your energy, leaving you lethargic and fatigued all day long. Plus, you won’t be able to concentrate, focus, or stay patient -  which can take a toll on you personally and professionally! Unfortunately, most people do not drink enough water, and one major reason is because most forms of water can be tough to drink! After all, just facing the prospect of drinking over eight glasses a day of unpleasant plain tap water or even bottled water is off-putting for most people.

Fortunately, there is a better way ... drinking alkaline water that tastes better and is easier to drink than every other water on the planet! Kangen Water®’s unique structure makes it easier to consume the necessary amounts of water we need each day. Plus, you can’t beat the taste. Now, you actually have an incentive to chug away! Consider drinking ionized alkaline water that is crisp, cool, refreshing, and, most importantly, easy to drink. Stay hydrated!

Change Your Water, Change Your Life!™ When water is so essential to your health, you need high quality Kangen Water® to nourish your body from the inside out.

Destination Once again we are packing our bags and getting ready to journey to Haiti. 10,000 Toys For Haiti is a grassroots organization that gifts approximately 8 orphanages in Haiti. By Allison Harvey

This is about giving in the purest form. We only ask that the toys be new and given with love that will be received with gratitude.

For this past year we have been collecting toys with a goal of 2,000 toys. We are still short but we aim to collect as many toys as we can. Can this be accomplished? We believe so!

his year, Germaine Moody, Chicago – Pam Prashad, Khel Baldeo, Toronto, Charel Edklkropr (originally from Haiti) join me on this journey, bringing Christmas in our bags for 2,000 orphans on the ravaged island of Haiti. We believe that children in Haiti, like children everywhere, should enjoy that time of the year that we consider to be for children, Christmas!

If you would like to get involved by either donating, working with us or by having your business be a drop off location, please feel free to contact us. We thank you for your support because together we can make a few Haitian orphans smile on Christmas Day!

The eventual goal is to provide a school for the teenagers when they leave the benefits of the orphanage at the age of 18, to assist them in obtaining skills that will help them become contributing adults in the community, and to help others do the same. They would have better opportunities for employment or business ownership instead of living on the streets of Port Au Prince.  Our vision is to provide as many children as we can with an opportunity to change their lives with the belief that, “One Person Can Make a Difference.”

Why Haiti?

Almost half the population in Haiti is under the age of 15 years and approximately 500,000 of these children are orphans. • 50% of the population is under 18 years: 4 million children • The earthquake left 300,000 dead and 1.5 million homeless in less than 60 seconds • Before the earthquake one in 10 children in Haiti was abandoned or orphaned • Many abandoned or orphaned girls become child servants sold to families as slaves • 80% of Haiti’s orphanages are unregulated and unsupervised • Of the 1500 children adopted out of Haiti each year, most have parents who just couldn’t keep them • Only 1 in 3 children in Haiti go to school and the cost of school is more than most people make in one year

How many hours sic keys to success: Strategy, Focus and Execution. a week do you set aside for long term planning? If so, what percentage? Is it enough?

By Dawn James

ere are the top 3 internal reasons your business may not be growing and some questions to ask yourself to get back on track.

Wrong Strategy – Can you summarize your company’s strategy in 25 words or less? Is your strategy achieving intended results?  For example you decide to run a Facebook ad campaign to promote your new restaurant. You spend $200 in ads and get only 15

Lack of Focus – Are you identifying and pursuing specific market opportunities? Do you have a well defined client profile? Who is your best customer or client? What do they like to read? What radio stations do they listen to? What is their education level? The more intimate you know your best customer or client, the more laser focused you will be on getting their attention. Have you formulated a targeted marketing plan that is measurable? There is an old saying that you cannot manage what you cannot measure.

Poor Execution – Execution is critical to success. Execution represents a disciplined process or a logical set of connected activities that enables your organization to take strategy and make it work. Without a careful, planned approach to execution, strategic goals cannot be attained.

Millionaires this industry “The Business of the 21st Century.”

By Allison Harvey

Don’t get a job Don’t save money And don’t get out of debt You have to learn to leverage people, use money and become an entrepreneur – Robert Kiyosaki Endorsed by major entrepreneurs, Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, Bob Proctor, The Secret’s Lisa Nichols and some of the most brilliant business minds of our time endorse or/and own Network Marketing companies. While approximately 1% of the world’s population is currently involved in Network Marketing, the market place is virtually wide open. In Canada there are about 35 million people and 1.6% work in the industry. This industry will create thousands of millionaires in the next 10 years with companies such as Amazon, Toys R Us, IBM, AT&T and Just Energy utilizing the MLM system to grow their business. Direct Marketing covers hundreds of various industries and is global in almost every country in the world, giving you the power to build not just in one country but in multiple countries around the globe. Robert Kiyosaki author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad calls

Without the threat of layoffs, retrenchment and unemployment, Network Marketing is everyone’s business. Your success is based on something you do every single day but you don’t get paid for it. Promoting other people’s product: that great book you read, the awesome movie you told everyone about, the wonderful restaurant you ate at; you get the picture. How would you like to earn 10% every time you told someone about something you love? With MLM you can. Network Marketing is based on the oldest and still the best form of advertising in the world that we know and trust, “Word of Mouth.” This system allows anyone who is willing to change their mindset from one of employee to entrepreneur and to take control of their destiny. This industry is simply based on friends helping friends, neighbours helping neighbours. It’s an industry that is built on personal development that allows anyone with no experience, who speaks a different language, or has little money to reach financial freedom for them and their loved ones with an immediate plug in system that trains you in the business you seek to work in. In Direct Marketing you get back as much as you put in and you can accomplish what usually takes you a lifetime in 5-10

years. Along the way you get to enjoy the perks, personal development, make great friendships, lots of time (to do the things you want to do), free travel and a whole lot more. When you treat MLM as a business it will pay you as a business. MLM fosters a sincere desire to help others grow and become more confident; to develop different skill sets as well as mind set. This industry is about developing people not pushing them down, thereby allowing them to take control of their future and not be worried about any changes in the economy whether good or bad. Direct Marketing is not so much about selling but about building a network of people. It’s about building assets for you and your family. The value of MLM is that it’s real world business education. In this industry compared to regular companies – you will probably never have the opportunity to become the CEO or President of the company you work for – you will never become a success unless you help others succeed.

What is

Network Marketing? When people first hear the words “Networking Marketing”, the first question in their minds is, “What do you mean?” Well, Network Marketing is simply: Recommending and promoting what you like. That’s it. Everybody already does Network Marketing. We all recommend and promote things to our friends and acquaintances. This is part of the human experience. We naturally want to share our favourite resources, products, music and ideas. Here is a quick example. You see an ad in the paper for the opening of a new restaurant. You go, have a great meal, and then you tell your friends how wonderful the food was. That was Network Marketing. Now the restaurant owner appreciated all of your word-of-mouth advertising. He would like to reward you but he has already spent his entire marketing budget on advertising. So, when you return to his restaurant, he gives you a bottle of wine with your next meal as a “thank you” for bringing more customers to his restaurant. Yes, we recommend movies, books, babysitters, dentists, cars and more. We all do Network Mar-

keting every day however ... some people actually get paid for it. Want to get paid for what you are already doing? Consider this. Many companies believe that the word-of-mouth recommendation and promotion of their products and services is more effective than money spent on advertising. Here is what they do.

By Tom “Big Al” Schreiter

They stop their traditional advertising and marketing. These companies then use these unspent advertising and marketing monies to reward people who recommend and promote their products and services. So if you like the products and services of one of these companies don’t change what you are doing. Simply continue recommending and promoting and let these companies send you cash every month. There are two types of people in the world. Those that recommend and promote the things they like, and those that get paid for it.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire! Visions of sugar plums dancing in my head! The holidays and food are synonymous with each other. It’s the warmth and comfort that they provide. I love creating classic holiday menus that are reminiscent of my childhood as well as today. Like my Grandma’s BANANA BREAD…Who doesn’t love banana bread?   I’ll wait…That’s what I thought.   Typically, I don’t make banana bread during the warm months.  I usually reserve it for a nice fall day or chilly winter morning. This recipe has 101 variations you can do with it.   It can be very simple or you can take your time developing different components to it.  Whichever you decide to do, I know you will enjoy it.

• 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed • 1 cup of sliced strawberries • 1/3 cup melted butter • 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup) • 1 egg, beaten • 1 teaspoon vanilla • 1 teaspoon baking soda

• Pinch of salt • 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

No need for a mixer for this recipe. Use those forearms like our ancestors did. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, and mix. Pour mixture onto a buttered loaf pan. Place the sliced strawberries on top.

The season has changed! It’s fall and if you are anything like me you have this doomed look on your face as you slowly and begrudgingly pull out the warmer clothes and sadly put away the summer things for another, ugh, dare I say it …10 months! As with our dress, the food choices we make should reflect the present season we are in to ensure optimal nourishment throughout the year. Eating seasonally allows our bodies to get a variety of different foods and the rotation can help prevent various food sensitivities and the depletion of enzymes.

NOTE: Placing the strawberries on top during the baking will cook the strawberries a bit. You can add them at the end if want to. Bake for 30 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean. I like to add a pat of butter while it’s still hot. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve. I topped mine with molasses, candied walnuts and some fresh whipped cream. Excuse me, I must eat it now. Bon Appetit!

This is where you get creative! The first time I only added sliced strawberries on top.  You

Eating in Season By Jennifer Yearwood

can add candied walnuts, blueberries, coconut or anything you can think of that goes with banana bread. The idea is to make it the way you love it.

Ecologists will tell you that the source of natural diversity is the seasons. Every change experienced in the growing conditions from spring to summer and fall to winter are essential for the earth’s resources to remain in balance. All life depends on these changes. We need to look at our eating with the same respect: seasonally. However, because of the worldwide benefits of import and export, foods are made available to us year round. The grocery shelves look the same year round whether it is December or June. In the fall and winter it is time to move towards more seasonally warming foods to build our immune system and keep us healthy throughout the coming months.

The principle is that foods that have taken longer to grow are more warming. Foods considered seasonal to fall and winter that taste great and make for ingredients in some fantastic soups and stews are ones that should be emphasized. Try beets, Brussels sprouts, carrots, butternut squash, leeks, celery root, parsnips, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, turnips, zucchini, pomegranates, persimmons, pears, kiwi, and mandarins to name a few.   Use plenty of warming spices and seasonings that can be added to many recipes such as ginger, peppercorns, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and garlic. All animal foods are considered warming as well including chicken and fish. So why not give it a try! Seasonal eating can prove to be a simple and smart way to help our bodies achieve and maintain a healthy balance. And it may help to balance the pocket too!

Pay Less TAX! Network marketing can be very exciting and fun. What with meeting new people, making money and being exposed to a variety of cutting edge products, the industry is a multibillion dollar industry and it’s growing. ginning and end up spending more money than they actually earn.

By Patrick Bailey

nfortunately, because network marketing is mainly a voluntary business and requires very little start-up costs, many networkers treat this business like a hobby and overlook many of the tax advantages of running a small business.

A network marketing business is a real and legitimate business, and as such is eligible to receive many of the tax breaks that other more traditional businesses enjoy. Despite the promises of making large amounts of money, the reality is that most networkers do not make money at the be-

But, did you know that the government allows us to deduct these expenses? Not only that, but when we spend more than we earn, these net losses can be applied against income from all sources. How cool is that? Many network marketers work their business on a part-time basis and usually have another job of some kind. When these losses are applied against their other incomes, they lower the taxes payable and can even trigger a tax refund, not only in the current tax year, but in previous years. Now that’s huge!

A good rule of thumb is that, generally speaking, any expense incurred to earn business income can be deducted. It is very important that the expense be reasonable and relevant to the business. Furthermore, the expenses should be documented and have proof to support the claims. A tax accountant, preferably one who is familiar with network marketing, can provide valuable guidance in making the correct deductions.

But just what are we allowed to deduct? The list is wide and varied. Some of the more common deductions include vehicle expenses, purchase of materials, office expenses, supplies, telephone, internet and many more. feel completely at home about the whole process. Networking for Influence, Power and Wealth

By Germaine Moody

Part 1: Branding & Influence

verything has changed. People, economy, technology, weather, you name it; the world itself has become a new place. Knowing this should prompt an immediate action from you to also prepare yourself for change or to be specific, advancement in all things. Things aren’t like they used to be. This has its benefits and disadvantages but it is our duty to remain optimistic in whatever comes our way, and from there move forward in boldness, observation and strategy. If you carefully observe, you may have noticed that there is no true job security anymore and not much of anything is guaranteed. Therefore, I write to you to inform, to guide and to push you into the unlimited, the realm where anything is possible, an atmosphere with no limits, and a life of endless possibilities, all granted through the power of networking. You are a brand. Your name, your identity, your skills, your education, your talents, your ideas - they all make up your clout and what you bring to the table - so with every waking moment and every available opportunity, you need to focus on expanding what you know, honing your skills and abilities, feeding your curiosity with new information, and intensifying your pursuits. Add all of this together and it equals increasing your value. This is the first step to Networking for Influence, Power and Wealth. Knowing what you’re working with and what you yourself bring to the table is where it all begins. Your name should say it all. When people see or hear your name, they should automatically know what you represent, what you stand for, and what you are associated with. In many cases, your chosen professional associations will help further your pursuits or shut

the door to them, so be mindful of your dealings and surroundings. In the real business of networking, it’s just pure branding, nothing more and nothing less. Your brand (you), connecting with other brands (other people) to create something beneficial for all involved. The more brands (other people) you connect with in a positive way, the more influential you become. Good influence is more powerful than power and money. Why? Money can’t buy you positive influence that will last without great character and integrity. You can spend millions to impress and still have others dislike you for reasons you tried to use money to cover up. Power doesn’t necessarily grant you respect and admiration, instead it can produce fear and intimidation if not used responsibly, but good influence will always give you persuasive power over others. That’s when you can make as much money as your heart desires and still be respected afterwards. What does this mean? Your brand (you) connecting with others is extremely important because that’s how you build positive influence. With today’s technology you can market your brand (your talent, skills, ideas, education, etc.) to the entire world instantly online through executive social networks like LinkedIn, Affluence, Ecademy, Maven and several others. You should join as many as you believe you need. Don’t be afraid to reach out to other brands (other people) and connect with them in your local area, in neighbouring countries, and around the world, remembering that this is how you build your influence, which is the green light to getting everything you want, plus allows you to help others along the way as well. Brand and build your influence. I’ll say it again, brand and build your influence. This will determine the level of the next step to be addressed. It’s a sacred atmosphere very few ever get a chance to enter; one that most have the potential to soar in but not enough stamina to stay in the air to achieve it. That atmosphere is Power. Until next time, rest your wings.

De Travel Junkie Heads to Thailand By CafÊ 9 Are you thinking about somewhere exotic to escape to this winter where you can just chill out on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world while sipping coconut milk from a local vendor? The turquoise colored water here is gin clear with a gently sloping, white sandy beach just perfect for swimming when you need to cool off from the hot tropical sun. The beach I am talking about is called Chaweng and it is on the Andaman Sea Island of Koh Samui. First discovered by backpackers in the early 1970’s, Koh Samui has now become a magnet for people looking for a little slice of tropical paradise. While the shacks on the beach that once offered a place to

sleep for a few dollars a night have more or less disappeared being replaced by the Shangri La and Four Seasons, there are still plenty of places you can stay on Chaweng beach without breaking the bank. The Chaweng Buri is an unpretentious resort smack in the middle of Chaweng beach within easy walking distance of all the shopping, restaurants and nightlife that Koh Samui has to offer. Boasting a beachside location and excellent pool and bar, you will love the individual Thai style villas set amongst the tropical orchids where can relax on your patio or walk a few yards towards the beach and lie on a bamboo mat while local girls give you a traditional Thai massage. Currently the Chaweng Buri is offering three night packages for less than $350 and always has

special rates available whether you want to stay a few days or a couple of weeks. Another favorite of ours is Poppies. A bit further down the beach away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort areas, Poppies is like its sister hotel on Bali, a small boutique style property with beautiful gardens and Koi ponds with teak bridges and waterfalls that will make you feel as if you are in your own private oasis.

Nightlife and shopping Thai food is fantastic, but if it is not your thing there are plenty of places to go for pizza & pasta or to grab a burger. There are also some world class restaurants available in many of the 5 star resorts, so no matter what kind of cuisine you are looking for you will find it on Koh Samui. A couple of tips for you: First, never pay the price the stall holder asks. Pretend you are in an Arab bazaar because that is exactly what it feels like. If you are persistent, you will come away with some bargains and the stall holder will still have made a profit. Second, the Thai people are very superstitious and believe that if their first customer of the day comes in and then leave without buying something that it is bad luck and that they will have a terrible day. If you see something you like just make sure the following day that you are the first customer and you know you will be leaving with a bargain. Learn more at
