APRIL 4-5, 2025 • WACO, TX
Welcome to Pursue 2025, the WMU of Texas Annual Meeting & Missions Celebration! We appreciate you meeting us in Waco and are excited to experience this weekend with you.
As WMU of Texas begins to walk in our updated mission and vision, we know that God is calling us as a collective group of Christ-followers to be individually intentional as we develop relationships and seek to be missional disciple-makers. You can expect this gathering to reflect our shared passion to empower God’s people to advance the Gospel through missional disciple-making.
We will hear inspiring messages during our general sessions from key partners, emphasizing our individual spiritual formation while highlighting the power of a collective effort of speaking Jesus into the lives of others to see lives transformed by the Gospel message.

Together, WMU of Texas and Texas Baptists are able to send missionaries and provide opportunities for people to hear the Gospel and find hope in Christ.
The Mary Hill Davis Offering for Texas Missions is a vital part of this work - 100 percent - of the money collected goes to sending missionaries, supporting missions in Texas, and sustaining WMU of Texas’ ministry efforts.
Mary Hill Davis was born in Greenville, Georgia, and came to Texas as a small child in 1870 when her family moved from Tennessee to Dallas. At age 20, she married F.S. Davis, a physician. They had one son, Raymond, also a physician and surgeon.
Mary's heart for missions and people was evident in everything she did. She believed Texas was a vast mission field, and that immigrants needed to know Jesus just as much as citizens. Not only did she stir women to give and pray for missions (giving increased by $1.2 million dollars during her presidency), but
she also encouraged leaders to take care of orphans, schools in Texas, as well as China, and retired pastors living in poverty.
Mary Hill Davis passed away on November 24, 1934, and during a memorial service held at the WMU Convention of Houston in 1935, the State Missions Offering was renamed the Mary HIll Davis Offering®.
Today, Mary's remarkable leadership continues to inspire Texas Baptists to give, pray, and serve.
